GD Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2013 Author Posted October 30, 2013 Course I miss the Reilly goal being in the shower and doing hw. great. Ok the first two might be accurate but the raps one is way off lol. Derozan seems like a great guy, hard working, getting better every year and really wants to improve. Gay is a great player, but is overpaid. I meant in terms of flashy/overrated for various reasons and the teams not really realizing it.
theblujay Verified Member Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Rielly! 4 point night for Kessel

Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 My god the Oilers are bad. I really can't believe that Kevin Lowe still has a job. Trade a few of the young guns to improve D and goaltending.. they can change things around quikcly.. main thing is staying healthy for them
GD Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2013 Author Posted October 30, 2013 Trading any of the big 4 for a goalie seems like a terrible idea. That's an understatement. That would be a really, really bad idea imo. I can't think of any goalies that match up in terms of trade value with them but don't have stupid contracts. They just need to improve their defense. (a lot)
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Trading any of the big 4 for a goalie seems like a terrible idea. They need D mostly but if they can get a better goalie out of it too, that will help

Although I don't want to trade him
theblujay Verified Member Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 BTW Reimer looks great tonight
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Reimer? Although I don't want to trade him I was thinking earlier Reimer/Bernier, Gardiner + a good draft pick(s) for yakupov? but it doesn't look like leafs need more offense
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Reimer with 41 saves and could be the 2nd star?
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 The Leafs really need to lower these shot totals against. It's getting ridiculous.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2013 Author Posted October 30, 2013 Reimer? Although I don't want to trade him Reimer for any one of the big 4 should be an automatic yes that would be horrifying for the Oilers
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 4 point night for kessel but Reimer should get the first star.. I'd play him again tomorrow
Frag Verified Member Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 "The Leafs have to take a run at Nash, difficult as it may be. Even if it costs them depth or Kessel." - Steve Simmons, February 2012
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 lol Damien Cox just blocked Jeffler on twitter. Lol Jeffler laying waste on the moronic T.O. media.
theblujay Verified Member Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 More like Reimer + Rielly. So Kadri's more valuable than Reimer and Rielly? BTW I know it would take more than just Reimer, and I don't want to trade him anyway so it doesn't matter.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2013 Author Posted October 31, 2013 Raptors Leafs and World Series f***ing keep me updated on the Leafs please
Laika Community Moderator Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Shots are 15-7 Calgary. Leafs up 2-0. Is this real life? How does this train keep moving?
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Shots are 15-7 Calgary. Leafs up 2-0. Is this real life? How does this train keep moving? Leafs finally have players that can finish/hit the net in Kessel/JVR/Lupul/Kadri.. they take advantage of the chances they do get.. and our goalies have allowed them to stay in it.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 This Leafs defense f***ing sucks. They're getting carved up by f***ing Calgary.

It's certainly "worked" so far, but I just can't believe that they've somehow found a sustainable winning formula that involves getting outshot 35-25 every night.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 This sounds kind of like something Baltimore Orioles fans would have been saying in 2012. Randy Carlyle hockey ftw.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Seriously every team has an easy time breaking out of the D-zone against the Leafs. It's a f***ing fire drill in the Leafs zone for most of the game.

Really proving that goalies win you games.. several games. Change is really needed, but tough when you are winning games. Maybe give liles a few games?
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Semyon Varlamov turned himself into the police and has been arrested for domestic violence. Woah, hopefully nothing that serious??

Maybe give liles a few games? I really think the Leafs have just been getting lucky, more than anything. I think you could invert their W-L record and it would be more indicative of how they've really played. Calgary on pace for 50 shots, lol.
