Tense game going on Pittsburgh right now. Reds just came back from 5-2 to tie it in the ninth against Mark Melancon, after Jordy Mercer extended the game with a two out error.

Wow Cleveland has finally taken over one of the WC spots (for the first time I think).... watch them end up winning the WS

 

Could get real interesting if KC sweeps Texas. KC's wildly panned trade in the offseason doesn't look too bad considering they are in the hunt this year even if its kind of on the periphery. Maybe they needed to make a bigger move before the trading deadline, but I guess they looked to be fading out at the time.

The Rays have already gone through 8 position players and 11 pitchers in that game. There really should be some kind of rule in September that you can only pick 25 players each game who can actually PLAY in the game that day.

It really doesn't look too terrible imho, I know Myers has been nice (with some HR/FB and BABIP help), but Shields has really worked out well for them.
