JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 I'll pass on Reynolds. Rasmus and JPA already provide us with enough Ks.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Rivera just coughed up another lead. Back to back blown saves.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Royals win again! Great comeback for them against the Red Sox to win 9-6. Greg Holland has some slider. Holland is another 500K dollars ace reliever lol
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 What a comeback by the Dodgers over the Rays last night. As soon as Price came out, the game was over. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/boxscore?gid=330809119
Arkadium Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Brian Duensing was the winning pitcher in both games of the Twins doubleheader today. When was the last time someone won two games in a day? Cool story, no really, cool story

Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Damn. There goes the perfect game. Villar draws a walk.
TRM Verified Member Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Stingy call on that 2-2 count. Still, if Darvish gets three more K's, he will get an 100 pitching game score, which would be a top 10 performance of all time.
digiblader Verified Member Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 (edited) Michael Kay is ripping the Angels a new one in the Yankees broadcast--if you think the Jays are bad, the Angels are in even worse shape! And it's going to get worse--Trumbo and Trout are approaching arbitration---Trout could easily crack $10M in arbitration(and that might be pessimistic--it may be even more): http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/mike-trout-signing-long-term-will-be-troublesome-for-los-angeles-angels-081113 Angels screwed themselves over by signing Hamilton and Pujols to long-term deals. And it won't get better in 2014--Trumbo is arb eligible, several arb raises and they're still paying the Yankees to have Vernon Wells sit on the Yankees bench and hit .241. They also lack pitching after Weaver and Wilson--their farm is seriously lacking, Blanton and Hanson are awful. Edited August 13, 2013 by digiblader

Laika Community Moderator Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 The Blue Jays still suck. Which situation would you rather inherit? The Angels, with all of those terrible bloated contracts but also Mike fcking Fish, Or the Blue Jays, without nearly as much crippling financial commitment, and a better farm system, but also no Mike Fish or anything that could even sniff his musk.

A guy who gets the girls wet with his looks, and his talent is instant boner-inducing? Mike Trout any day please.
digiblader Verified Member Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Mike Trout is going to want to go to the Yankees, Red Sox, Phillies or Dodgers(or some other contender) at the rate the Angels are likely to be playing--with an inflated payroll and little hope for the future, no chance he stays long term.
