Still, a survey of scouts who have seen all four indicates that one Buxton is better than the trio of Correa, Ruiz and McCullers, as a majority would take him over the Astros’ trio.

 

“Come on. It’s not even close,” an NL scouts said. “As I look at it, even if you had the plan to try to get three impact guys instead of one, the minute you walk into Buxton’s game, you have to scrap that plan and say, ‘We’re going with this guy.’ “

Jose Fernandez is a stud. Over 92.2 innings he has a 2.72 ERA and a 3.00 FIP as a 20 year old! Just threw 8 scoreless innings against Padres with 10 K and 1 BB.

Mauer's too important for them to trade, hometown future Hall of Famer in his prime. Should still be a good player by the time they're winning again (2015?). I don't really want Morneau or Willingham, so there's not really a fit. The Twins have a strange roster.

 

Pretty frustrating loss to the Yankees, Burton has blown up a lot lately.

I have no confidence in an AL Central team beating an AL East team. When it happens it feels like an accident.
