digiblader Verified Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Rain Delay. And that game is now in the 13th...
digiblader Verified Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Without Ryan Braun, the Brewers just don't have much punch--Carlos Gomez and Jean Segura can't do everything.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 wat? Must be voice dictation for old and broken
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Hah.......It just came across on the ticker. I'm watching the game Go Bucs! Best record in MLB Amazing
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 wat? Another nationality he hates, but not as much as Cubans.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Raise the Jolly Roger!! Bucs win in 14th, Martin with a walk-off single. Awesome. Pirates are fun to watch, great baseball team.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Dream WS: Rays vs. Cards. Holy f*** that would be some good baseball.. O,s vs Cards
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Pirates vs. A's would be amazing. Also: Chris Davis just went deep again lol, on SNB. As much as a good job the Pirates FO have done turning around that franchise, I still have a hard time getting behind a team that once thought it was a good idea to treat their athletes like Navy Seals.
backontop Verified Member Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 "This board as well?" You mean there are other sites that allow you in? Moreover May 2013 was a long time ago. Today we had the bases loaded in the 6th NO OUT, in a one run game, and couldn't score! That is a lowlife, doggone, low down dirty rotton stanking shame. For some reason I forgot what I was going to say.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 It's because you're dumb. No, you and me are dumbs, he's a maldito cabron chupa bolas
flafson Verified Member Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Are they testing Davis? Sounds like they should be testing him 3 times a day.
8D Verified Member Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 “I am positive he’s the best prospect I’ve seen in (more than a decade) of full-time scouting,” a pro scout for a National League club said. “It’s not even close. Tools, athleticism, feel and vision. Time will tell what kind of major league player he becomes, but the sky is the limit.” Another scout, referencing the 2-to-8 scouting scale, said (somewhat) jokingly two days into five days of watching Buxton: “What don’t I throw an 8 on?” A third pro scout has seen Midwest League stars come and go for more than a decade. In his eyes, Buxton’s hitting approach is better than Trout’s was when he was in the league. He hedges a bit, saying that he doesn’t know if Buxton will develop as Trout has, but says strictly based on MWL performance, Buxton has been better. “Joe Mauer, Prince Fielder, Albert Pujols, that’s the grouping I have him in as far as pure hitting approach,” said the scout, who saw all three of those future big league stars come through the MWL. Still, a survey of scouts who have seen all four indicates that one Buxton is better than the trio of Correa, Ruiz and McCullers, as a majority would take him over the Astros’ trio. “Come on. It’s not even close,” an NL scouts said. “As I look at it, even if you had the plan to try to get three impact guys instead of one, the minute you walk into Buxton’s game, you have to scrap that plan and say, ‘We’re going with this guy.’ “ http://www.baseballamerica.com/minors/deja-vu-byron-buxton-stirs-echoes-of-mike-trout-in-cedar-rapids/ even more quote worthy stuff in the article.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 "Davis is the first player in major league history to have at least 25 doubles and 31 home runs by the end of June." Wow!
flafson Verified Member Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 I don't understand why they put him number 5 in the lineup, why not 3 or 4?
digiblader Verified Member Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Here's what ESPN had to say about Detroit's problems: The Tigers' mediocre 14-13 record in June overshadowed the continued brilliance of Max Scherzer (12-0). Culprits include a flaky bullpen, lack of clutch run production (8-12 in one-run games) and a batting average that drops by 50-plus points on the road. Perhaps relief will be found in the return of Anibal Sanchez and call-up of young flamethrower Bruce Rondon. Sounds like the Jays.. except we have a better bullpen.
bzapple Verified Member Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 http://www.fangraphs.com/not/chris-davis-is-not-on-steroids/ There it is, plain and simple lol.
digiblader Verified Member Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Anibal Sanchez out indefinitely after being hit by a line drive in leg: #Tigers Anibal Sanchez removed from Lakeland appearance. Line drive hit Sanchez in left leg.
digiblader Verified Member Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 What a horrible call in that Twins/Yankees game! Morneau is safe by a bit!
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Twins beating up on Pettite early today. 3-1 still in the 1st.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Would love to see Pettite s*** the bed in the second half.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Anibal Sanchez out indefinitely after being hit by a line drive in leg: #Tigers Anibal Sanchez removed from Lakeland appearance. Line drive hit Sanchez in left leg. Oh that sucks
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Would love to see Pettite s*** the bed in the second half. Hmm... you into that kinda stuff?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Hmm... you into that kinda stuff? Hahahaha. I guess I asked for that.
bzapple Verified Member Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Parmelee with a home run off Pettitte, Twins take a 4-3 lead.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Pettite aparently, as of tonight, has the most strikeouts in Yankee history
flafson Verified Member Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Twins blew it big time, i think we should get some of their players, maybe take that big heavy contract of Mauer off their hands?
admin Site Manager Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Jose Fernandez is a stud. Over 92.2 innings he has a 2.72 ERA and a 3.00 FIP as a 20 year old! Just threw 8 scoreless innings against Padres with 10 K and 1 BB. Everyone laughed when Miami said he would be pitching.
flafson Verified Member Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Everyone laughed when Miami said he would be pitching. And people were saying that AA throws pitchers at the wall trying to see who will stick, Miami is the real definition of that.
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Mauer's too important for them to trade, hometown future Hall of Famer in his prime. Should still be a good player by the time they're winning again (2015?). I don't really want Morneau or Willingham, so there's not really a fit. The Twins have a strange roster. Pretty frustrating loss to the Yankees, Burton has blown up a lot lately. I have no confidence in an AL Central team beating an AL East team. When it happens it feels like an accident.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 All of pour AL East opponents are playing weak teams now We need to keep winning
