    I can't stand the Rays, their stadium, they're lack of fans and the Jays have always played poorly here. They will need to finish WC 1 for home advantage, if for some reason they don't, then I'd throw a game if needed to get to WC 3 and play in Cleveland, of course, they need to get nail a WC first.

    Well Ross speaks in such code, it's hard to figure him out, but he talks about collaboration a lot, which tells me, he sort of directs the manager. I'd prefer the old way where the coach is the on field general, and front office just delegates.

    Managing isn't like it used to be, before a manager had the authority to pull a star out of game for a mistake. Now the front office runs the teams and this is universal. Therefore, I'd put more praise/blame on Shapiro and Atkins depending upon how the season goes.

    haha right, well the regulars are having down years compared to last except Kirk and Gurriel, and I love chapman for his defense, but he doesn't make up for Semien offensive output.

    I was using my gut, but it looks like they struggle more vs LHP compared RHP vs LHP were 9th in BA, 10th in OBP, 12th in slugging, 12th in OPS vs RHP were 3rd in BA, 4th in OBP, 4th in slugging and 4th in OPS Also curious what stats are against high vs low velocity. Agree right now it doesn't matter

    Jays seem to struggle against lefties, it seems like there swinging out of their shoes, but it's hard to square up a pitcher like this, who lives on the corners, maybe try and slap the ball the other way, wonder what Guillermo is telling them

    I was there live at the August 2nd 7pmish game Rays vs. Jays at s***** Trop near the Jays dugout, and I saw Bo put his arm around Vladdy walking out to the outfield before doing warm ups, so there didn't seem to be any animosity between them. Apparently before that game the entire team was glued to the TV waiting to see what the Jays would do at the trade deadline. If anything, the lack of comparative moves by the FO at the trade deadline, was sort disheartening in saying your not worth it, but im guessing. No excuse for their play regardless. As seen with other teams it doesn't necessarily work either at least so far.

    I think Charlie was just a figurehead with Ross calling the shots, and Charlie was the perfect yes man for Ross to run the team. Just a hunch.

    Well like Donaldson once said it's not the try league, it's the get it done league, eventually they're going to find people who can get it done. It does send a message to everyone, that if you don't get it done, then Rogers, will find people that will, front office, coaches and players etc. That's the cut-throat nature of professional sports. So the whole team better get it done otherwise more heads will roll.
