  1. what a waste of Romanos arm
  2. is green's velocity down compared to pre injury/surgery
  3. good practice no pressure
  4. Well when he was hired he said he had to change the culture from gut instinctual decision making to analytic based decision making, and needed to bring in people receptive and collaborate with front office. So it sounds like there is a formula and you follow it
  5. The knock on Shapiro was that when the club was good he was unwilling to spend extra to make it great. To put it over the top. Whether that was his choice or the task he was given by ownership, the feeling among Indians fans was always that Shapiro is willing to do anything to win and could be pretty savvy at making moves to do it, but only as long as it didn’t hurt the profitability of the Cleveland Indians. I wonder sometimes, though, whether he was hired in Toronto to do what he was asked to do in Cleveland: be a budget hawk and prioritize the business side of things over the baseball side of things rather than balance them. --That's still probably a fair assessment, but ultimately that's on Rogers.
  6. Love his f-bomb post game. best ERA in MLB, must suck for pitchers.
  7. Vlad Sr. no gloves, that guy could hit anything. Unfortunately Jr. has his mom's build
  8. vlad has a negative 13 or whatever at defense runs saved this season, regressed at defense too.
  9. I want a 2015 2nd half where teams get blown out. That was fun to watch. But in playoff ball pitching seems to trump hitting, think that's why Royals went to WS and Jays went home in 2015 ALCS.
  10. nothing just like bitching at times, I just want them to do better than 2020, 2021, 2022, get a W in the playoffs, and get into 2nd round. im happy for the guys I dont prefer like biggio when they perform, so I hope we do it.
  11. Thor is a shell of his former self
  12. and Chapman hits slightly better than Grichuk but with his defense who cares
  13. Biggio at 2nd is ok, when they tried it him at 3rd it was a crapshow in 2021, espinal was ok at third, then he bulked up maybe lost some defense and this year he is mentally out of it, anyhow there both bench players
  14. this is fine and great but what about when we play the last 12 vs yankees and rays
  15. Santiago: 2021: .311 BA, 32 runs, 69 hits, obp .376, 17 rbi 2022: .267 BA, 51 runs, 120 hits, obp .322, 51 rbi 2023: .218 BA, 23 runs, 34 hits, obp .299, 15 rbi Biggio: 2021: .224 BA, 27 runs, 56 hits, obp .322, 27 rbi 2022: .202 BA, 43 runs, 52 hits, obp .318, 24 rbi 2023: .208 BA, 29 runs, 35 hits, obp .289, 22 rbi
  16. well I know who bassit was talking about when he said orioles are doing well because they listen to their hitting coach.
  17. really, u think the batting coach is the source for this crap. I think Bassit, said after the Orioles game, that he really appreciated their approach, young, and listen to their batting coach, it seemed like a slight at the jays players but maybe not. in 2021 we had a monster offense with same batting coach.
  18. So in 2024 we lose Belt, Chapman, Merrifield, Hicks, Ryu. I wonder who were going to get at 3rd base, 2nd, LF, DH. Hopefully offensive upgrades but not defensive liabilities.
