    I don't understand why teams give opt outs like that, seems like you guarantee a bad out come. Either he does well and he's gone or he doesn't and you're stuck with him. I can't believe we gave Santander an opt out when we still paid a premium

    Yeah I agree, the AL was such a mess this year, every team had a stretch where they looked amazing, and other stretches where they were awful. The one constant has been the Jays dominate at home

    Yeah I was looking at that earlier. Off days are after game 2 and 4, so crochet could start game 2 on normal rest and game 5 on normal rest.

    Walks are part of the Little experience, thats why he needs to be given fresh innings. It is very hard to square up Little, so he can get away with walks more since he gives up very few extra base hits.

    Waited too long to pull. I know he struck out Palacios but that made no sense to let Gausman face him.

    I would not let Gausman face Palacios again. Hopefully he can go 1-2-3 here

    I would let Gausman start next inning, but be ready to pull him if he lets a couple guys on. The bullpen has been great, let Lauer or Fluharty come in and pitch a couple innings.

    Need Gausman to shut down this Rays B lineup they got out there. I don't have high hopes the Jays will put up a ton of runs, I'm predicting a 4-1 win for the Jays.

    You guys gotta stop focusing so much on run differential, Michael Kay has finally gotten to you. Literally a month into the year the Yankees had a differential over 100 runs than the Jays. I just pulled it up, and May 19th they were +118 to the Jays. Yankees beat up some bad teams for a couple weeks and you completely forget their bullpen blow ups and awful defense, both of which will come back to bite them in the playoffs.

    I don't mind any hard contact. He just looks lost right now with some of his swings, not even making hard outs anymore

    JS is trying to avoid using any of the bullets he plans on using tomorrow. It'll be Gausman/Varland/Fischer/Little/Hoffman to get 9 innings tomorrow.

    I know the Jays still have responsibility for this loss, but I still can't get over an umpire purposely calling a guy out in a bases loaded situation in a huge end of the season game. This isn't game 54 in the middle of summer. In no other league does that happen...

    Its funny how the culture is. In hockey and football, refs often put the whistles away in crunch time because they are hesitant to decide the outcome. Then in sports like the NBA and the MLB refs seem to relish in it.

    I am normally a pretty calm person watching sports, especially since I quit drinking, but i am really pissed rn lol

    I can't wait for Umps to try this "teaching a lesson" crap next year and just having calls reversed in their face lol.
