  1. Brash has been worked hard since the 15 inning marathon against Detroit, Smoltz noted that he seemed tired and his stuff diminished yesterday. That could play a factor if he is used as a bridge between Kirby and Woo.
  2. Worth pointing out the Jays against Miller did have an xBA of .278 and a hard hit% of 47% with a K to walk ratio of 1. Miller pitched well, but there was definitely some luck involved.
  3. The playoffs are so hyperfocused that any hole in your swing can be attacked. Just look at Ohtani, teams are using lefties and attacking him inside and he has struggled. Whereas someone like Freeman continually has success because he is such a complete hitter. Vlad is built to be a playoff monster.
  4. The most consequential bullpen usage might be Speier's. He's the Mariners only lefty, and he threw a season high 32 pitches.
  5. Feels like everything gets passed Suarez. He's the Bo Bichette of third basemen
  6. Vlad has an even 1.00 slugging percentage with ONE strikeout. This is getting into legendary territory.
  7. I agree that Schneider pulls starters too quickly, but that was definitely the right time this time. Naylor was seeing Max very well, you can't let him face him a third time.
  8. I do like Flu, but I do feel like Lauer is really being underutilized
  9. He's been bad since August. He had a .900 OPS in July. I think its unfair to call April-July a hot streak.
  10. https://www.mlb.com/gameday/813060/play/35 This remains Vladdy's only postseason K. Caught looking in a 3-2 count on a pitch that technically was a ball.
  11. Jays had the best late inning offense in the league, keep faith
  12. Was it a hanger? It did look like it did break, just maybe a bad pitch choice.
  13. Gausman still has pitched a great game, not his fault it is a tie.
  14. Only thing about Fox broadcast that annoys me is when they cut to the Umpire's POV during a pitch, its very disorientating lol. Aside from that, its been pretty good.
  15. The Jays have an xBA of .350, definitely some bad luck, its not like they are striking out. But yes definitely dont feel great only being up 1 against a team with so much power.
  16. Could only be 1 or 2 more innings of Miller, really need to strike.
  17. Mariners biggest weakness is middle relief too, so working Miller like they did is big.
  18. I don't think it gets overturned based on the strict need for overwhelming evidence, but I agree he seemed safe.
  19. I've noticed Kirk tags high on plays at the home often, really needs to start tagging lower to stop guys from sliding under.
  20. Yeah I guess Cashman does have a love affair with Volpe. I just figured once they started benching him this year that maybe they were coming around to the idea he may not be a starting caliber SS.
  21. Yeah Yankees don't really make sense. They need to focus on resigning/replacing Bellinger and Grisham and also figuring out their middle infield. If the Yankees chase a big free agent, it wouldn't shock me if it was Bichette.
  22. No post season roster doesn't have to be balanced. Teams have carried larger benches and taken less pitchers in the past.
  23. Yeah I remember the Rangers piggy backing another starter with him in the world series, and he went a clean 3 innings if I remember correctly. I think that could definitely work in the ALCS.
