  1. If it was anything it doesn't seem serious
  2. This was his final plate appearance, doesn't look like he hurt himself and being the DH wouldn't have fielded after
  3. I can see how someone might be more comfortable with the way a ball comes off a bat from LF than RF(or vice versa) if you're way more used to 1 position especially since more hitters are righty and a pulled ball is going to be hooking differently than a ball slicing after being hit the other way. Fielders also might feel more comfortable moving to their left to get a ball in the gap than their right. It sounds dumb and might be dumb and an above average outfielder should be able to handle both. But I can see how it might be reasonable to get used to 1 of the positions and be much better in left than right besides for the arm aspect of throwing to 3rd
  4. He's definitely priority number 1 but I'd be curious how they'd manage to make that work since almost all our best pitching prospects are already in Vancouver. Robberse, Dallas, Palmer, Kloff. They seem to want Paulino and Gregory stretched out as well. If they promoted Tiedemann that would basically be all our good pitching prospects in the same rotation, and 7 starters, none of which are ready to be promoted. If they deem Ricky ready then he moves up and you make everything else work, it might just put a squeeze on some other good prospects.
  5. Chad Dallas a rougher outing this time, though the K's were still there. 3+ innings 3 runs, 2 HR, 6 K's, 2 BB, 5 hits
  6. Tiedemann 5 innings of no hit ball. 8 K's, 4 BB
  7. It's called a bold prediction for a reason. I did 6 or 7 and that one was nowhere near the most unlikely. None of this Manoah will win 20 games easy bold prediction s***. Go big or go home.
  8. That would be helpful. PK is pretty bad. I'll take whatever I can get
  9. Hernandez is going to get the pitch the final 3 innings in a 20-1 laugher save variety
  10. Tanner Morris looking decent to start the year. I keep mixing up with PK Morris though. It annoys me
  11. Adrian Hernandez promotion and the definition of a save both being topics today is a good omen for my bold prediction that he saves more than 5 games for the Jays this year.
  12. that typo actually somewhat makes sense. /s = sarcasm
  13. Groshans playing with Dunedin tonight. Quite the demotion /s
  14. Don't worry we still had Alford on the bench to pinch run for Smoak. Boy those Jays teams had a lot of useless outfielders
  15. How does it compare to Jonathan Davis, Billy McKinney and Derek Fisher? https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/TBA/TBA201909070.shtml
  16. Theory: Angel Hernandez is actually using robot strike zone. It's a unpublicized testing of the system that the league wanted him to do because he's so bad, and there's no way he could actually be that accurate, even for 1 game.
  17. Another 2021 pick Canadian Palmegiani off to a scorching start through 7 games. 3 HR and a 1.330 OPS for Dunedin
  18. IIRC when we drafted him and Chad Dallas the reports were they could move very quickly if we decided to use them out of the pen. They're using Dallas as a starter so I wouldn't expect him yet, but Juenger could definitely be a factor as soon as July.
  19. Hayden Juenger 2 IP hitless with 4 K's. Jays 2021 draft class striking out an insane number of batters early
  20. Tiedemann finished with 5 IP, 2 hits, 4 walks, 8 K's, and 0 runs
  21. Why don't teams just use a 7 man infield against Tapia?
  22. Is it raining in Dunedin? The game was delayed and despite the fantastic results so far Tiedemann has been unbelievably wild, perhaps because of the conditions. If the gameday locations are accurate I'd guess only about 25% of pitches have been in the zone with a lot of pitches missing by a ton. Good sign for his stuff given some of the locations of these swinging strikes. Also could be because A ball hitters are a lot less selective. He's through 4 innings of 1 hit 0 run baseball with 6 K's and 4 walks
