  1. You gotta wonder if he just DGAF or is just stupid to not have made his socials private after the Bass fiasco.
  2. Do you really want to sign a player like this long term though, even if it for cheap? Assuming he never reaches his 2021 heights again and is just a slightly above average 1b for the next 10 years IMO that is not a player you want long term especially when you consider his body type will likely not age well.
  3. Even our 2023 IFA blue chipper Bonilla is off to a brutal start in the DSL.
  4. Well it hasnt been all dogshit, yea not having Tiedemann and Barrierra to follow sucks but Orelvis' rebirth in May has been pretty exhilarating to follow.
  5. A lot of the things you put down as Ws or Ls are not even close to decided yet. The Springer contract is debatable either way, he missed half the year when he would have provided the most return and has been declining since, the Berrios trade/contract is at most a wash not a W. Bassit contract could become like Roark very easily, too early to decide on that one. At the same time not signing Vladdy after 2021 is proving to be a wise decision cause Vladdy is just not that guy anymore.
  6. Dont think I agree with that take. You cant tell me that some of these bullpens around the league with below average K rates can be elite. Its like the Jays pen last couple years, decent bullpen but couldnt miss enough bats to be great. This year we are K'ing enough guys and have enough swing and miss to be a elite bullpen.
  7. Fair that the Jays might not have any true "Elite" (ie. top 5-10 relievers in baseball) relievers but there has to be something to the fact that they have 4 maybe even 5 guys who I would say are all very good pitchers.
  8. I think you could certainly make the argument that the bullpen has elite potential at the very least. 2nd best xFIP for all bullpens in the MLB. Just need to stop giving up so many homeruns like others have said. Very good top 5 of Romano, Swanson, Pearson, Mayza, Richards with the potential for Garcia to get back in that group. White sucks, Pop sucks (atleast up to this point), Cimber should have been DFAed after he got healthy, Bass is already gone, with Francis, Danner, Juenger, Jackson as depth options. Just need the HR/FB rate to normalize and this pen can be elite results wise and sabr wise.
  9. Orelvis 1-3 with a BB in game 1 and starts off game 2 with a 2 run bomb. Not even kidding I think he could outhit Chapman and half our ML lineup right now. If Belt goes on the IL Orelvis is probably our best bet to help the offense.
  10. IDK....this feels like a legit improvement he has made to his game. Would have to go back and check his game logs back a couple years to see if he had any stretch like this where his K and BB rates were actually good.
  11. Orelvis 2-5 last night with a double. Now batting .311/.421/.756 since May 10 with a 14% BB rate and 18.7% K rate. If these K rates are his new norm he is a borderline top 20-30 prospect in baseball.
  12. He got upset after he got the news. Means he disagrees with the decision no? Means he thinks he should stay on the team and continue to pitch no?
  13. https://twitter.com/kaitlyncmcgrath/status/1666178138823376896?s=20 Its true and it shows where his heads at if he thinks he should stay on the big league team any longer. His teammates have a right to be pissed at him aswell at this point. They are trying to win games and hes out here loosing the game by him self time and time again. At least Berrios had some occasional good games and Kikuchi was by all accounts ready to do anything last year including going to AAA.
  14. He needs a tough love type of person IMO. Someone who wont blow smoke up his ass. Sadly I dont think the org employs people like that anymore. All yes men.
  15. LMAO Manoah was upset after he got the news according to a tweet by Kaitlyn McGrath. Like f*** off. How delusional can you be? What the f*** did you expect the team to do?
  16. 100% percent. Way to many fatties parading around. Bad look for a team made of "high level athletes".
  17. Its actually pretty f***ing gross whats hes allowed to happen to his body. Young multi millionaire athlete that lets himself go from slight overweight to probably borderline obese. This team would be well within their right to tell him to stop being a fatty. Or maybe the org leadership is too pussy to say it and hurt his feelings like he had happen earlier this year.
  18. Debatable, could have easily taken Manoahs age, and fact he was homegrown and projected him to take another step forward, not 5 massive steps backwards.
  19. Manoah all the way down to the florida complex league. Bassit back from paternity list, Bowden Francis called up, Espy activated from IL, Ernie Clement and Jay Jackson to AAA, Zach Thompson DFA. About f***ing time. Now the long rebuild of our once Ace.
  20. Orelvis already 1-1 tonight with a double. Batting a cool .200 now.
  21. Anyone else left thoroughly unimpressed by the game tonight? Just a bunch of seeing eye ground ball singles, no power to speak of (the one 2B was a weak groundball hooked around the 3b bag). Coochie looked brutal again, 5 BB and only 4 K, he still has no idea where he's gonna throw it, got bailed by a s*** Brewers offense. Don't want to be negative after a easy win but holy f*** this could have been a 5-1 loss or worse if the luck was flipped.
  22. Yup, .200 ISO by far the best of his career. He's only 27 so he's actually younger than Espinal. Could be that he's made some tweaks and is breaking out....
  23. Ernie Clement putting up a .322/.391/.522 slash line for Buffalo so far this season with a stupidly insane 3.25 BB/K ratio being driven by a absurd 3.1% K rate. Would take him over Espinal in a heartbeat right now.
  24. Macko made his debut earlier today. 4IP, 4H, 2ER, 7K, 1BB. K numbers have been eye popping for him for sure when he's actually been on the mound.
