    Yea its Garcia by a landslide IMO as well. Garcia has enough weapons in his arsenal where if one pitch isnt working then he can go to the other 2. With Trevor its like ya his changeup is elite but if guys arent chasing then its bombs away on his fastball.

    He sucked ass at the end of the year after he came back from his injury, his best multi inning outings were in the middle of the season when he opened a few times.

    I have a feeling that the Jays got him to sign saying they will let him start while secretly having no intention of actually letting him start in the big leagues.

    Pretty sure I read that Hader was only doing that ******** about not pitching 3 days in a row and only pitching 1 inning at a time cause he didnt want to get hurt going into free agency and that after he signed with whoever he was gonna be open to being used however they needed him.

    80 IP at AAA in the first half and then 40 IP with the Jays in the second half as a multi inning reliever. Then he takes a rotation spot in 2025 and throws around 160 innings. That would be perfect case scenario if there are no injuries or poor performances at the MLB level in 2024 and Tiedemann himself doesnt get hurt or underperform.

    I didnt say anything about the coaches in that post. Chapman hitting to RF was a conscious decision he made him self, if you read the quotes from Chapman himself from like april and may you will see that. And your numbers are misleading lol his pulled flyball percentage was less than 50% of what it was the previous season and by far a career low AND his pulled flyball hard hit percentage was down from 2022 as well. This was most definitely a result of his all fields approach and it completely killed his pull power all year. I doubt this came from the Jays coaches.

    Unfortunately thats probably what it takes. Considering we already offered him over 100M and he declined back when the qualifying offers were submitted. Boras client too. I think Chapman is approach change away from being the 30hr hitter hes been in the past. He (along with most of the team) needs to get back to pulling the ball. Too much of those pushy swings trying to shoot line drives to RF.

    Stroman is never going to be a bluejay again. Do you guys not remember that he s*** on Atkins/Shapiro and the FO publicly? Kepler for Kikuchi + low level prospect makes too much sense. Im somehow warming up to the idea of signing Chapman. Maybe 5yr 125M Rather have JDM than Soler considering Soler probably wants like 4 or 5 yrs.

    Holy f*** 680 million of the 700 is deferred. Sho is getting 2 million per year for the length of the contract and then the rest in yearly installments untill 2044. How the f*** can the league approve this type of s***. Oh and I should mention no f***ing interest.

    Dont think the app would do much more with Shohei since the Japanese TV market produces their own broadcasts for his games.

    Pretty sure they have zero footprint over there but Shohei has a lot of influence over there so if Rogers really wanted to they could probably use other carriers services for a couple years while they build out their own. Im not some telecom expert either but I have to imagine those are conversations that are possibly happening in the board rooms.

    Wonder if there is an angle here for Rogers to break into the Japanese market via Shohei. With how much Shohei is revered over there, if he does a Rogers commercial that would create a whole lot of demand for Rogers products. Factoring in that for Rogers would make this a no brainer lol

    Passans new article explicitly only lists three teams as "chasing" Shohei and the Jays are one of them. Doyers and the Rangers the other two. Other teams might have already bowed out.
