    It was all but confirmed by Masai himself that his moves were being made to ensure we had max space for Giannis in 2021. We structured Fred's extension to allow for that. Now where this totally killed us is that we let Ibaka and Gasol get away for nothing because we didn't want to commit past this year. Take a look at how bad that move is killing the Raptors right now. We're 1 and 6 because our centers SUCK.

    It was such a perfect fit man, especially with the Shatkins connection to the Indians/Lindor. If they weren't going to swing big there then where will they swing big... Lots of offseaaon left so we'll see how things unfold.

    Ya let's see how the offseason goes but I really thought this package was ours for the taking. Now if we can sign free agents without having to give up our prospects, we come out better here. But there's some hesitancy to think that.

    It's all assuming that all those free agents will remain unsigned. Lindor will probably be taken off the list and I'm sure many others will be too prior to then. Don't pull a Raptors hoping something will be available in the future and plan your current moves around that. Just not a good way of managing. And we're pretty much dealing with one other buyer in this market, there will be many more buyers next offseason. There will always be an excuse for us to not make the big move.

    Lets see how this offseason goes but if we expect to get big name players for bargain prices, we might as well become the Tampa Bay Rays.

    Springer Hand Odorizzi from that list but in reality... I want to add Lindor on top of that group lol. Strike while the iron is hot... we won't have the chance to be the head honcho that often. Once MLB returns back to normal next offseason, there will be more competition for talent and higher prices in general for players.

    Ya, seems like Springer is giving the Mets all the chances to win this bidding war but the longer it takes, the more chance we might pull through here.

    I think we're all happy it's not at the 5/150 range. 5/125 seems like where we're at. Unfortunately I think it might take 6/150 for us to beat the Mets.

    Ya I think we're just trying to add the best talent we can and have the luxury of being able to move players around to make it happen.

    My comment wasn't towards the Jays but MLB free agency. Of course the Jays shouldn't bite while the best players are still on the board. The Morales situation was a joke so they better not handle things like that again lol.

    Well... we held back Vladdy and Pearson a few extra months. Do you want to ask about that now or should we wait until 2040? Lol

    Shouldn't Kim have gotten an offer much greater to stay than what he got from the Padres... Especially considering what Justin Smoak got paid. Trying to understand the comment about MLB teams offering more to Sugano than what he's getting offered in Asia.

    As long as the AAV is 25 mill per, 6 years is probably what's it going to take for us to get him over the Mets. Anything more than 6/150, I can't see it happening.
