I got it right away lol.
Who would have thought Shapiro could be our biggest contract given out this offseason. That's probably the main reason why there's no press conference being done for this right now lol.
I wish Walker would be signed as the 4/5 guy in the rotation but sadly I think he'll be the 2/3 guy. That's the only downside with signing him as we'd have less dollars to still get that high end rotation guy to go with Ryu.
Hes done a great job of getting the team to this position. Now let's see how we take the next step with him. That is ultimately how he'll be judged. Not many people get a 10 year timeline though lol.
My whole point was that if you think he got overpaid, it's for one extra year. You will be able to nitpick that for all major free agents who get signed. That is the premium you have to pay to get them typically.
We did that for Ryu last year and we did that for Martin back in 2015. If we sign another major free agent this year, I bet people will nitpick the one extra year too.
4/54 isn't crazy at all considering its only 1.5 million more than Roark is making for next year.
To get a major free agent, you have to toss in that extra year. This will apply to Springer, DJL, Bauer, etc.

5/110 for DJL is too much. Doubt he gets that anywhere...
Only seems fair if we were the runner ups on Lindor to go after Bryant. We have the positional flexibility and the money to make it work. Plus the Cubs would ship him to the other league.
Springer was the guy I've wanted all offseason. Now with Mets being potentially out, my hopes are almost too high here. For me, as long as we get 1 out of the big 4, I will be happy. We will know soon enough...
