LOL it's a broken record at this point. Let's hope Shatkins got something up their sleeves or they'll be banned from Canada just like our soon be ex PM lol.
The difference is that Kirk knows he fat and slow so he'll almost never risk a stupid out on the bases. Vladdy, while being fast for a fatty, is still a fatty and doesn't know his own true speed.
Our GM of all GMs should have first hand experience as to what Teo brings to a team. Hell, it's been painfully obvious from a fan standpoint when watching the offense become a joke after his departure.
Obviously it's not 100% because of him but he played a big part in why. Just suck up your pride and admit you f***ed up twice by not keeping/getting Teo and bring him back if that's close to his contract demands.
That is crazy he hasn't been offered this coming off batting cleanup for the world series champs. Like wtf lol.
He deserves a 4th year based on the leverage he should have but would obviously prefer a 3 year deal imo.

Looks like Leo Jimenez and Hagen Danner were awarded an extra year of options due to their injury history. Good news as we don't gotta trade or get rid of these guys this year.
The Jays current and future outlook is pretty damn bad man. If we as fans, who have some level of homerism in us can see it, you're sure as hell rest of the MLB can see it. We can't even get our own homegrown signed to extensions...
Like I was saying, they're on Tilt after losing Soto the way they did. If we aren't re-signing Vlad/Bo, it was the perfect time to trade with them lol.
Pretty sure we just gotta overpay guys just like every other team has to do in free agency. I doubt Teo looked at us like he wouldn't comeback if we actually showed him we wanted him.
Just comes down to Shatkins not feeling comfortable overpaying guys on any longterm deals unless they truly LOVE the guy. Typically it's a good strategy if you have a good farm system but we all know the desperate position we're in.
Youre right if they werent going to pay him but I think Astros fans would have preferred they just paid Tucker instead lol.
Figuring this out is something our current front office should be doing, which they still might.

That is a massive blow to the Astros losing Tucker and potentially Bregman in one off-season. The amount of high end talent that franchise has developed is crazy.
You're a f***ing idiot if you can't judge the Jays current roster situation before committing a s*** load of money lol. Jays should not be catering to people who didn't understand when committing. Make the best damn decision for the current and future interests of the organization.
Winning is what helps build the brand. Lying to your fans about things most people can see is what gets you in the current shape of our organization where no one knows wtf is going on from top down with Shatkins and our best players on their last year(s) of their deal.
Letting Bo/Vlad walk should get you barred from any important baseball positions ever again. Shatkins have known about this day for years now so either sign them to extensions based on something you're comfortable with or trade them right now to kickoff the rebuild. The problem is that we're currently in between doing both things horribly.
We also traded him and indirectly blamed him/Gurriel for the lack of a serious clubhouse as to why we weren't doing better. Then the Jays didn't want to give him a better deal last year after a down season when they of all teams should know what he's capable of.
I want Teo more than most here as I was mentioning all last off-season to go get him. I truly think he will make the Jays severely overpay for him to choose us over the Dodgers. This time he's the one with leverage and I'm sure he'll use all of it.
