  1. Literally everything I've read from this account has seemed very logical and interesting. It seems like the Jays don't want to go past 4 years so maybe they've increased it from 82M to 90M during that time. If so, not sure if like that approach since hes only 30 years old. I'd prefer to add the extra year if it means the AAV is lower.
  2. Welcome to the board new guys... don't let these old timers bully you. I've been here for like 5 years and seen many come and go because of it. Stay strong lol.
  3. You need to press 'Enter' to skip a line after you insert the URL, the link will show itself after that.
  4. As has been reported previously, the Blue Jays made a formal offer to outfielder Anthony Santander. Details of the deal are not known but Santander was seeking five years earlier in the offseason while fellow corner outfielder Teoscar Hernandez, a similar player in many ways, signed in Los Angeles for only three seasons. How much are the Jays and Santander off? Hard to say but it wouldn't be surprising to find out that the disagreement is over years more than dollars per year. View full rumor

  6. Weren't you just crying about no more name calling? Just put me on ignore if you can't handle my posts... it's really that simple.
  7. Some would say he got more than enough opportunities with the Jays. With a different last name, he probably gets sent back to AAA and never makes it back to the majors. Sucks because he had a nice start to his career.
  8. I was about to create a separate thread JUST for this but didn't want to upset folks... kidding :) Seriously though, saddens me to see him struggle. Seems like a great teammate with a great IQ who is scared to swing the bat. Maybe an automated strike zone could help this guys career lol
  9. Please don't let him fool you with his innocent act here. Please take a look at who was name calling who when all I did was create a thread to encourage some conversation on a message board. There's a long list of folks who have fullout said they've left the forum because of him and you'll soon see why when it's always him getting into conflicts with everyone else.
  10. LOL when did I ever say I was an ex player? I said ive played baseball throughout my childhood, thats all. I've only been banned once because of an instance exactly like this where you pick fights with people but the mods always chose you over everyone else. And you clearly started with the name calling first but then started crying when someone responds. Brock will see over time with your actions as it's always YOU who gets into it with EVERYONE so I don't need to expand on this further. Just give it another few days lol.
  11. Ya I don't get being this annoyed... if you don't like it then don't open the damn thread. This news is being reported everywhere. It's the off-season where we're still expected to make a lot of moves.... like wtf are we supposed to talk about lol.
  12. Let's not go into my life... Im not here to debate with who people see as the board drunk and the Mods feel sorry for so he's never been banned lol. You are the single reason why the previous board couldn't grow with a bigger user base because you'd throw insults at them until they left. The new management will soon realize what I'm talking about if they don't yet. If they want to, they can probably go through most of your past interactions and see how NUMEROUS users have stated this themselves. Mods in the past did a great job of deleting many of your interactions but let's see if they continue to clean your mess on here lol.
  13. https://www.si.com/fannation/mlb/fastball/news/toronto-blue-jays-one-of-several-teams-interested-in-former-top-prospect-yoan-moncada Just another source feeding off the original tweet to please Spanky lol. We're all sick of these "rumours" and just want the Jays to finalize their roster already. I've been checking here almost daily in hopes of some exciting news this off-season, it's depressing lol.
  14. Well, we know where Shapiro is headed after being fired from here lol.
  15. Sounds like you're more annoyed with the Jays than me tbh but I'm good not posting it for discussion. Free agency is changing daily so what was reported a month ago might not be applicable today. I also don't see how you can't just skip the threads you don't care about whereas we're all forced to read a bunch of different crap within 1 massive thread to hear updated news on various players. I'm good with what the majority wants and can save myself the headache of posting these here then.
  16. Do you not want stuff like this posted? We always used to post stuff like this but in just 1 big thread where there would be like 5 different convos going on simultaneously. Dude has 22K followers so it's not like it's a nobody reporting this. Seems logical that teams who don't get Bregman would fallback to guys like Monchada who has been discussed here a lot actually as a potential bounceback candidate.
  17. Francys Romero reported that teams are circling free agent third baseman Yoan Moncada as everyone waits for Alex Bregman to make a decision. Moncada has had a career all too typical for recent White Sox prospects. He started off strongly, peaking with a 140 OPS+ in 2019, having another very good season in 2021, and then spiraling due to injuries afterward. He will enter his age-30 season in 2025. 19. I've said that this is an awesome strategy to employ. We literally have nothing to lose except building some goodwill with some agents and maybe get a player we weren't expecting to get under market value. I said the frustration comes when this is the same strategy being employed when this team has no choice but to build through free agency the past 2 off-season. The only options we had this off-season were to either overpay free agents or rebuild. Right now the Jays are choosing Option C that no one wants, which is to suck at both lol.
  20. Of course we know we stink. You don't gotta tell me when I've been "crying" about the bad moves we've been making the past few years while you and your crew were loving everything these guys were doing lol. The topic here was why we've been "in on" so many guys. This isn't a 1 year problem. We have been reported to be in on free agents even when we were winning the past few years. We do our due diligence on majority of the free agents and make lowball offers on the ones they don't absolutely love and make actual offers for the ones they do. It's why our name seems to float around on so many guys.
  21. Just using logic based on the reporting that's available. Would love to hear your analysis rather than your pointless 1 liners lol.
  22. Ya I think Shatkins just like to stick to their price points and hope to find a bargain. It's like the guy who sends decent trade proposal in fantasy but never quite good enough to make the deal happen. In a normal world, this is a great method of targeting free agents to ensure you don't constantly overpay guys and screw your team long term. The only problem with the Jays is that they don't have a good enough farm system to utilize this strategy now since most believe they need to spend their way out of this mess or just full out rebuild. That frustration is just coming out in different way for folks lol.
  23. While I agree with the pessimism, reaching "finalist" status does mean you have a legit offer on the table. Now whether any of the remaining free agents take that offer is another story. Jays seem hellbent on not trying to overpay anyone so are hoping some of the players fall into their price range, which could happen with folks at this stage of free agency.
