Haha chicken. I was being offered 30 bucks from my original 50 bucks and said screw it, let it ride. If we make the additions we're still being rumored on then I'm gonna feel great lol.

How the Jays went from 4/84 to 5/92 with heavy deferrals is amazing. We went from one of the most absurd deals with Straw to this was much needed for my Jays fandom. While id love Alonso, Begman just makes so much more sense defensively. We saw how important defense at 3B with Chapman vs the crap we had before there. Vlad being there for majority of the season might make people go crazy lol.

This is an A signing. 18.5M AAV with deferrals after coming off 44HRs is amazing value for a power deprived squad. Most were thinking that a 5 year deal would come close to 110M without deferrals. Santandar should be the upset one, earning only 13M more with deferrals than what Straw gets lol. Now add Bregman on a similarly structured deal while getting the best/cheapest SP4/5 and this team is ready to roll.

Shatkins never got to truly go big fish hunting in Cleveland/here and were too stupid to realize they were being played. It's like a hot girl using a nerd to pass tests and then ignoring him afterwards. Let's move on rather than trying to rationalize their stupidity because some of these takes are bad lol.

The first half of 2015 was like most of 2021. We didn't even need to sell the farm but most will agree that was our best Shatkins team and we wasted it by not adding bullpen arms sooner and that's when we had a stacked farm system. Sigghhh

I've always been a proponent of never just handing guys like Wagner/Barger/Clement starting spots. You need guys like this to knock the door down to force your hand with the part time opportunities they get. And ya, I could see Alonso/Santandar more likely too but it would obviously be a downgrade defensively and also occupy the DH spot most of the time. I still see a path towards becoming world series contenders but it will just require Rogers opening the checkbook even more than they already have. It's either this approach or just start the rebuild already, which I don't think they want to do.

Bregman or Alonso because Profar wouldn't fit if we got Santandar. Bregman would be ideal for defensive purposes but it'll all come down to the type of contracts these guys still want at this stage. It's crazy because that would give us a payroll around 300M so it seems doubtful but Rogers might feel super embarrassed and say f*** it for at least 1 year.

Santandar coupled with another big bat would become massive moves to me. Then sign the best/cheapest SP4/5 and I'm all aboard the hype train for 2025.

Because I'm hoping they make moves that will allow me to watch my favorite team with excitement? Why do you think I've been bitching about the team and its moves over the last few years with many of the regular folks here thinking I was crazy lol.

This f***ing team has been horrible to watch since 2023, even the year we were winning. Then 2024 happened and the team became completely unwatchable. This doesn't make you not a fan, you just have standards of what you will waste your time on in life lol.
