    Has anyone ever seen such an infusion of talent from a single trade deadline? I mean with the Blue Jays? I have followed the team for almost 40 years and I cannot recall such a thing happening. The FO gets an A for the trade deadline deals. if only Garcia had stayed healthy, etc.

    I think Francis is making a case to be the #5 SP in 2025. I was really happy when the Jays got Wagner in the Kikuchi trade. I have a REALLY good feeling about him. That Kikuchi trade may really pay huge dividends for years.

    Just curious what you guys think? What is Bo comes back and goes on a heater the rest of the way, and Vladdy stays hot. In the offseason, contract extensions go nowhere with both and both are traded. What would that haul look like?

    I like your synopsis. I will add that I think *if* Bo comes back from IL and lights it up, he will almost 100% be traded in the off season. We may get a starter or two from that. Unsure. But he should bring in a better haul than Kikuchi.

    A 50FV pitcher is f***ing awesome. That is a great trade for the Jays. Holy s***. He can step in now and start.

    I would prefer trading him for a decent prospect and then re-signing him in the off-season. He gets to learn another team's systems, and brings that knowledge back. But yeah, I really try to re-sign him after. Tell his agent it's best for him (playoffs?) and the Jays to do this.

    I think so, too. If the Jays struggle around the .500 mark, which they will all season, then I would love to fill the minor leagues with excellent prospects for anyone older, or close to FA.

    I wish they would ride the hot hand going into the season if this continues all spring. I really hate it when players we could lose to rule 5 have amazing ST and then aren't selected to stay with the team once the season begins.

    Votto > Vogelbach. I mean, c'mon, Votto has HOF numbers. It's no risk, high reward. I love this signing. It is overdue. I do not think Votto would continue playing unless he knew he has the skill to compete. I want to see him end his career as a Jay. Yes, I like maple syrup. FFS, he bats left. Depending on his ST, I would love to see him get a lot of ABs. Dunno. I remember when the Jays signed Molitor and Winfield in the 1992-93 era. They were similar. Old, almost washed up, but f***ing produced.
