  1. I am not sure that makes it okay. But it is not my forum.
  2. Bwahahaha. I hurt inside now.
  3. Are we allowed to post $$$ content? I have a sub and pay for it. I would be a little cheesed if someone posted what I pay for. That may make me out to be a dick, though. Oh well. FYI, I have signed up for The Athletic three boxing days in a row for 70% off each time. It is worth it.
  4. Two more years. He's a FA in 2023 according to fangraphs.
  5. I would never bat Villar 9th. 7th seems right. I would honestly be open to batting Shaw last. Panik, Espinal, players like that should get the least amount of bats. Batting 9th or riding the pine accomplishes that.
  6. Semantics, but Tabler always says "big and strong" to describe "baseball player". Same idea, though.
  7. Yeah, he's a good defensive second string catcher. I don't think any FO this off season figured he was the next coming and wanted to trade for him based on that MLB SSS.
  8. You can look on fangraphs to parse the contract/club control status for each.
  9. No all star gets, but a lot of solid gets that will incrementally improve everything. And once everyone is healthy, we have a great bench. Buh-bye Drury and Panik.
  10. He looked pretty good prior to 2020, and we have control (IIRC) until 2023. Who knows about this guy?
  11. No it doesn't. He's better than anyone we have on the bench.
  12. Me, too. If he wasn't the son of a former MLB player, I wouldn't give two shits for him.
  13. You get into the $M/WAR at that point. We can give up prospects and back fill with free agents because this FO is loaded, willing to spend when required, and has a minimal payroll after 2020.
  14. If they can get a guy that is really good and has two years of control, they may have to. And I am okay with that. Playoffs are awesome.
  15. Or Dylan Bundy and Simmons from the A's. And then Longoria from the Giants. Then I think we're set.
  16. I would like us to get rid of Shaw, and trade for Evan Longoria. Better defensively, can still hit very well, and of course that veteran presence that is almost totally lacking. I would bat him 3rd.
  17. It sometimes feels that way.
  18. Is he better than who they have? Dwight Smith Jr has a s*** arm, but maybe hits better.
  19. Nope. But I get the false equivalency.
  20. Players I am high on right now...Espinal and Merryweather
  21. After this season, do we have four more years of control of Merryweather? Arb1-4?
  22. It is soooooooo cool Fangraphs posts EV. WHen the hell did that happen? Can a person search for the weakest non-pitcher EV?
  23. I 100% agree. The team up has to keep playing hard. If the team down doesn't want to play anymore, f***ing forfeit and walk off the field. I also agree on the SB thing. If it is a blow out, I wouldn't push it. But swinging hard on a 3-0? WTF?
