    He meant Corey Seager I think...28-year old going into next season who had a 3.7 fWAR in 2021 despite some injuries. Kyle is not a great fit on this team for the reasons you outlined, although I thought he would be a decent deadline pick up this season.

    Continued forearm tightness. Doesn't that usually foreshadow TJ? He's only 33-years old and had a ~ 3.4 fWAR campaign on the verge of FA. I don't know if he is quite done yet. For 2022 almost certainly.

    Yeah, that is exactly what I thought. I think I could stand a few more years of Sweaty West if the trade off was that Hernandez retired. I am not sure how he still umps professionally.

    I actually think he could play above average 2B for five years. He's in really great shape, clearly driven (like Halladay, IMO, how he keeps on wanting to improve 24/7), and I am 100% sure he is a great team player for this group of kids. I *even* consider a 6-year. I just don't know if he wants to play 2B. But he could be one of the best 2B ever if he plays it for 6 more years.

    We have the $$$ for both Semien and Ray, but that could be $60M+ for 5+ years. Big commitments. And I am still not sure Semien is prepared to play 2B indefinitely.

    What do we do? Semien wants to play SS, IIRC, so Ray may be the only elite player we can re-sign. Is Espinal the answer at 3B for now? Can Kay be a 5th starter? Is Groshans ready? I am in favour of realignment, for one. Universal DH for two. Expanded playoffs for three. The CBA discussions will be interesting. I think the MLBPA likes all three of those notions.
