There’s another option, settle for a player plus gain prospect capital from a team looking to dump salary. There’s spots where these would still be upgrades. I would not grossly overpay for one of the elite options. If the Springer market intel is accurate I’d max out at 5/125. Also wouldn’t settle for mid tier FA’s. Cash is still king and there’s a smart way to use it especially when it’s short in supply across the baseball universe.

Reading the tea leaves from the Kim signing I’m thinking there have been some indications received that NL will have DH in 2021. That’s just playing connect the dots though. -
