  3. Took Joe Ross. Boxy OTC and msg’d. Sorry for the draft delay unfortunately was attending a funeral today :-(
  4. Took Brett Gardner. TCA up and msg’d.
  5. Took Tom Murphy. Orgfiller OTC and messaged.
  6. I cut an extra guy (miscount). Can I reclaim my final cut (someone not yet selected) ?
  7. I'm super thrilled the Jays went SWR instead of Graterol as the crown piece in a Stro deal
  8. Taking offers on: Altuve Bogaerts
  9. Yeah mine reached full last night too. We’ve been working the lines lol.
  10. First people complained that we were taking quantity over quality in trades. When would Shatkins acquire a Kluber or Carrasco like in the past ? Then people complained about the Stroman deal because we moved too early and didn't have a 3rd fringe prospect included. I always felt they gauged the market and determined with their evaluations that SWR was the top SP prospect available to them that would be moved. On top of that they were also receiving Kay a top 120 prospect. Once on the table they had to move quickly in case Mets fell out of contention and Brodie pulled the offer before the deadline. The cherry on top was reinvesting the salary toward Ryu. I think they played that scenario perfectly.
  11. I’m good with this
  12. Can I get Logan Gilbert added to my team pls.
  13. Unfortunately I believe you are right. It limits our potential.
  14. That’s why you overpay to get the best Starter with the lowest chance of bust, Cole. This opportunity is not available every year. $250M/7
  15. 1. It could be the only way he'd come here. 2. There's the possibility he enjoys it here and/or the team is competitive. 3. If not, flip the asset for something in return at the higher stakes table.
  16. Believe in yourself, believe in your city. Believe in human nature taking the highest AAV and total contract value in history with the ability to go somewhere else after a year and a half.
  17. Roark is an innings eater and Wood is on the opposite end of the spectrum. I think he's the most talented 6 man in MLB until he shows he can stay on the field.
  18. Need to be creative with the capital available. Approach Cole with a heavy front loaded long term deal; player opt out after year 2.
  19. I have a family member that was recently diagnosed with Crohn's similar to ulcerative colitis. They've been bed ridden, in and out of hospital and downright debilitated. As you indicated its chronic and likely comes back in flare ups. I can't imagine a high level athlete playing through that. Also potentially the E. coli was misdiagnosed and an original flare up. The contract was lower than I expected, this factored in.
  20. $2.5M can be utilized a lot more effectively elsewhere, in this market imo
