Agreed. There's certain teams that *should* "overpay" to make a push. And the Twins are one of those teams. The last time they won the central division was 2010 and the last time they won the AL pennant was 1991. They won't get a top arm in free agency. Getting Stroman and Giles would give them 2 solid opportunities for a chance to make a deep playoff run, if not win it all. Much like the Raptors this year, it would be worth sacrificing some of the future to go for it all.

This is why being a Jays fan blows. Not only do we have to compete in the same division as the two big boys and the best run organization in the MLB, but we've been mediocre for so long that we haven't been able to nab a bunch of top 10, let alone, top 5 draft picks. And now that we finally have two of the biggest trade chips available, with team control, gone are the days of trading a Torres for a free agent reliever or Jimenez and Cease for a mid-rotation starter.

Hypothetically speaking, if the Yankees are very high on Stroman, and were willing to trade Garcia and Frazier to trade within the division, what would Frazier get in a trade. I don't want Frazier. Also, is there any chance Giles could get Graterol as the main piece, even if he's the only piece in a trade?

Internet forum moralization is a beautiful thing. It seems disingenuous to say that people can't use "crazy" without associating it to mental illness. Basically everyone I know says my good buddy is a "crazy f***er", and not in a mental illness kind of way.

That was part of my problem. I went after the hot ones who had very strong personalities and liked to party. All the times that they got aggressive is when they were drunk. I found out over time that all 4 have done the same things in previous relationships. And they often found the stories funny, which is disturbing. I was always in the mindset to remove myself from the situation, let them calm down, and then let them know I wasn't going to put up with it. All you need on the other side is someone like tbad, who's waiting to show them the "fury", for really bad things to happen. I look back and don't know why I was in those relationships as I've always been more attracted to the cute, sweet ones, over the hot ones with strong personalities. All that said, and I know it's a generalization, but my experience is the crazier they are, the better the sex. It was quite the conundrum.

Yeah, the first time it happened I was pretty young. Not long on "the beer". We were having drinks are her place and ran out, so we decided to head over to a corner store to pick up some more. Basically I was a Lil Spanky in training. I broke the seal and ran behind a garbage bin on the way, and out of nowhere I get sucker punched a couple times. I was too confused as to what was going on that I couldn't "pinch it off" and was pissing circles around the dumpster trying to get away from her. After I was done she began to act like nothing happened. I sent her in to get the beer and jumped in a cab without her because I wanted him to know that if I'm murdered that night, that psycho did it. She begged me on the way home not to report her because she was in training to be an RCMP dispatcher. I was pretty confused about the whole thing until I found out over time she was legit bat s*** crazy. In every moment or argument I've ever had with a woman, even while I'm getting smacked around, I've never been close to getting physical back. I really don't understand what can drive a man to do it. Side note: I'm currently with one of the abusers... although she hasn't been physical in about 3 years.

Unfun fact: I've been in 4 serious relationships and have been physically assaulted in 4.

I'd like to know who you dudes think is a realistic main piece coming back. We know it's not going to be a Lewis, Whitley, Tucker, Kiriloff, etc. I personally think the most realistic best option is Graterol at the moment.

It totally depends on the return. If they trade him now and they get a fringe top 100 with little upside as the main piece, everyone will complain about the s*** job Shitkins is doing. But that could be the best deal available. If the Indians play well and Bauer is not available, then the offer could be sweetened. Now if it's a reasonable deal, then I agree, pull the trigger now.

Yeah, if an offer close to that was on the table, he'd be gone by now. I don't think he'll even get just a Groshans/Pardinho type combo. Maybe one of the two and a couple lower level lotto tickets.

I think the issue is teams know he'll be traded. I don't think they'll overpay to pry him away. I think they'll offer a mediocre package for him, and if they don't get him they'll either trade lesser prospects for MadBum, Wheeler, or Minor. Or pay more to acquire a Bauer, Syndergaard, or even Matt Boyd (who I think will turn back to the turd of a pitcher he used to be).

I think y'all will be disappointed with the return Stroman gets. There's multiple pitchers available on Stroman's level. Nobody is going to overpay for him.
