I'm personally not seeing what all the hype is about regarding Shapiro and Atkins. They seem pretty run of the mill and by the books. Nothing inherently wrong with that, but I haven't seen much creativity in the roster structure or the in game strategy. Most of the bats they've brought in have been one dimensional. I realize there's a few kids who might pan out, but you need to have a decent roster to implement around them. And I think maybe most importantly, the pitching pipeline looks sparse.
Their game-plan of being competitive in 2020 looks like a pipe-dream. Looking at the roster structure, it's hard to imagine this team being good any time soon.
