    Weren't there reports that someone recently turned down equal or more money from the Mets to sign with the Jays. I feel like it might have been Gausman.

    Guerrero feels like he hasn't really hit a groove yet and is just missing pitches frequently. When he does hit a groove I'm hoping we start seeing a few more go over the fence.

    My complaint would be that he didn't pull him in this game after pulling him after 77 pitches in games recently when he was dealing. Although I suspect part of that is that at the bottom of the lineup those lefties would have immediately been pulled for righties against Mayza.

    This is a far bigger problem for the game than the Mets or PAdres spending too much money. The A's owner is so cheap he's let a possum live in the visitor's broadcast booth over two seasons now.

    I'd take the opposite stance. Cutting off beer sales in the 7th probably leads to the guy who shouldn't be driving saying to himself "Well, I can drive. I haven't had a drink in an hour" and driving still over the legal limits because he thinks he has sobered up. Cutting that off later probably lessens the thought they have sobered up enough to drive. Also, as someone pointed out, they stopped food sales early too...this is an indicator it was more about staff/sales than it was about drunk driving.
