This whole article was ridiculous to me. Was anyone really naive enough to believe that the teams were not getting come kind of compensation from StubHub when the announcements were initially made? Did they really think the clubs were doing it out of the kindness of their hearts?
The big benefit to that deal for consumers is you can buy a second hand ticket and be confident you are getting a valid ticket. That's a big win even if you are paying above face value. Honestly, the tickets sell for two times face value. The team could just charge that for those tickets right off the bat as there is the demand there.
