  1. So how does our rotation stack at the moment? Shoemaker Anderson Thornton Borucki Waguespack Kay lots of 4s
  2. This isn't a bad deal providing the $8 million doesn't stop the team from aquiring other pitchers. It is hard to complain given what we gave up. He could be a trade deadline chip but WHY?? I am a bigger fan of buying at the trade deadline than selling giving the pennies on the dollar prices. Instead of taking a flyer on an A ball longshot try to trade and resign a veteran. Hudson, Oh, Donaldson, Phelps, Pearce, Happ, Sogard, Axford, Joe Smith with Galvis and Smoak apparently not even getting offers all for next to nothing back. All would look just fine in a Jays uniform next season.
  3. Ryu makes $17.9 million and just had a Cy Young type season. He will blow past 3 x $50 million
  4. Bookmark this and bring it back in 2 years to see how bad of a take it was.
  5. Our off season Sign back Smoak to DH/mentor Move Vladdy to 1st Get a platoon mate for Drury at 3rd Choose a CF that can play+ defense and hit a bit other than Pillar Need a bunch of pieces in the pen and SP Clean out McKinney, Tellez, Maile, Hernandez, Panonne, Devon Travis, Bucholtz, Adam, Boshers, Stewart, Waguespack. And spend some $$$ replacing them. I always relate it to would i like to see them play when I am at the stadium live. And for these guys it is no. These guys are neither good or prospects. See what you can get for Giles as our only asset of value approaching 30 years old which says a lot. This roster as assembled not counting Vladdy, Biggio, our cathers and The Mullet are embarrasing. And I will take a new GM while you are at it thanks. Who will also bring in his own manager with a little bit more bite. That is all......
  6. Where would Pillar rank as Jays best OF this season? Great D, 20 HRs, 75 RBI. Just asking for a friend
  7. Standing at the height of 5’2″ 112 LBS, Prince often wore heels to combat his small size. Little Red Corvette or BUST
  8. Jay acquire Beau Taylor off waivers 29 year old catcher will fill an importnat need for this club when they are looking for a player to drop from their 40 man roster. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/t/taylobe11.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&utm_source=direct&utm_medium=linker-
  9. We finally hit on a decent FA signing and POOF. Give the F'er away
  10. When will Elvis The Wonderkid reappear? I think he still needs 14 more days on the active roster. Injury legit or just hidding I wonder. With all the movement in our pitching ranks I actually wouldn't mind seeing him get some sheltered low leverige innings.
  11. The old 3+ WHIP...welcome to the org. I love it when our GM says I don't give a s*** about other teams and sites prospect rankings. We bellieve in our own. Exceot when our GM is dogshit and couldn't hold a job writting for these publications.
  12. PASSEN: Weighing all the pieces in this trade, it’s all the more surprising the Blue Jays couldn’t reel in a greater return for righty Marcus Stroman this past weekend. At $7.4MM, Stroman’s cheaper than Bauer, under control for the same period and has arguably been the better of the two this season. Nevertheless, in a trade with the Mets, the Jays were only able to secure two non-elite prospects – pitchers Anthony Kay and Simeon Woods Richardson – for Stroman. There was plenty of chatter afterward that teams were clinging to their prospects and unwilling to give up truly outstanding young talent anymore, but this three-way deal shows that isn’t the case
  13. See what being a millionaire can do for you... And Sogard was a very smart signing. He had a great year in Milwaukee when healthy and is aging well. I say smart...might have been lucky. He was awesome with his role on this team, a nice lead off option that we would have otherwise been missing.
  14. s*** return from a s*** GM. Armchair fans like us recognize this is s***. Could Atkins have been so pissed with Stro and worried that he was going to shine for another organization in the playoffs making them looked bad that they took less from the Mets?? At least they didn't include cash like the massive return we got for Donaldson. $2.7 million and Donaldson for a broken down s*** Mayweather. only 3 wild pitches in 2 starts lasting a total of 6 innings, era 9 this year. But he throws 100 mph while the fans just throw-up.
  15. EXACTLY, so trade him and sign him as a FA to come back. Hopefully AA will be back in charge by then...
  16. Whitley may one day be as good as Stro...doubt it. Want more. Tucker+
  17. Galvis 15 HRs and Soggard being a top lead off guy both with + defense. Have been super impressed with Sogard's ABs this year. Looked it up and he has had a similar OBP season in 2017 with Milwaukee. 300 ABs and an OBP of .393 Could be a WHOLE LOT WORSE than this at third. Mix in some Biggio starts and all good. I would rather cut bait with Drury then Sogard. Vladdy gets a year of winter ball playing 1st and takes the position next year. If you haven't heard it you just heard it here 1st!!!
  18. Keep Galvis. Signed for next year too. An ideal guy to have around the team. Sogard is a valuable table setter who I agree with most in that he won't garner much in a trade. May as well keep him. If Smoak gets moved Vladdy should be our 1st baseman next year. I wouldnt mind if our infield for next season consisted of Vladdy 1st Bichette SS Biggio 2nd and backing up 1st and 3rd Freddy, Sogard being a time share at 3rd and available to backup any infield position. This IMO would be the strength of the team going forward.
  19. You would think having Vlad jr would help in the recruitment of young DR players. Apparently offset by having Curly and Larry in your front office.
  20. Jays need to try him as a 7-8th inning guy...maybe closer if we move Giles (******** GM will get 4 C-Level prospects for Giles) if this doesnt work off to NL as a reclamation project
  21. Does anyone else get pissed off when the ump misses balls and strikes when we see the results on the pitch tracker? I loved the pitch tracker when it came out and now it just frustrates me. Last night in his last AB Biggio (Who is becoming my fav Jay) took 2 pitches because he knew they were balls, not because he was fooled. And both were called strikes including a called 3rd strike. Biggio did not get upset and walked to the dugout. So that K shouldn't have happened but is pinned on Biggio. Pisses me off.
  22. Of course he did. His boss who hired him pulls all the strings. He has lost every single trade that he has made as far as I can tell. Just horrible asset management. Can't imagine having a worse combination of hitting, fielding, pitching on our MLB roster than what we have. And this Hernandez at CF. WHY, is he better than Randall in CF? Every descion he makes just stinks.
  23. Asset management has been horrible/fireable in fact. Seems Shitkins trades an asset for lottery ticket(S). Better get one higher rated asset than a bunch of s*** IMO. So far he has just got a bunch of s***. The fact he got what he got for Donaldson told me all I needed to know about his trading skills.
