  1. Kendry is a family friend of Vlad and a team friendly vet. In a year of transition no rush to show him the door...besides he can play 1st when we get our big package for Smoak.
  2. As long as I don't have to hear Martins dad sing the anthem again in Montreal I am fine with the deal....
  3. And what The Jays have done for the last year and 1/2 anyways.
  4. Devon Travis gets traded away to free up 2nd base for one of the kids. Jays go with McGuire and Janson behind the plate all season. We sign 3-4 RPs to single year deals and they build their value to get sold off at the trade deadline. Alford gets his sh!t together and settles in at CF Stro and Sanchez return to ACE calibre and provide a 1-2 punch at the top of the rotation to be as good as any other team in MLB. Bichette or Smith take another development jump and give the Jays a legit top SS.
  5. IMO Pannone and SRF need to start in Buffalo this year and be available as our 6-7 SPs. With Stro, Sanchez, Ryan Borucki and Shoemaker penciled in as top 4 if healthy we need at least one more of this type of player. Someone with past success looking to build up their resume to cash in next off season. Ervin Santana would be a great add. Someone that can pitch when healthy at the top half of the rotation and would be a great chip to sell at the trade deadline. It will be too much of a s*** show for the new manager if you can't have semi decent innings eaters in your rotation.
  6. Gift Ngoepe lite WOW, surprised there wasn't a press conference..
  7. Building a winner in 2020 is hardly panicking. A good GM should be able to turn this team around by then.
  8. Unless Pillar is being shopped and maybe...just maybe the team wants to see Pompey get a crack in CF.
  9. Plus we need at least a little SS depth until things shake down. GEEZ, maybe Shatkins could pull off a trade for a steady SS that can hit in the .260s with 15-20 HRs. Oh no...he just traded him a few weeks ago for the MIGHTY Trent Thornton. I have ZERO confidence in this horrible management group.
  10. the gruesome ankle injury was back in July 2017. It should have ZERO effect on him. If he is working out with his old University team he should report to camp in decent shape. If you can push the salary out of your mind the guy was an absolute gamer and an easy guy to cheer for. Do I think he is the teams answer at SS? NO, but in a season where there will be very little reason to watch the team right out of the gate the Tulo story is one that I can get behind.
  11. Sorry, I meant every trade they made once the season started. And YES, there is the 2 for 1 I. Exactly what I was talking about. Give up 2 guys for a mid roster and useful player...PERFECT
  12. Every trade Shitkins make it is just for a guy competing for the 25th spot on the roster. GEEZ, lots of depth. Really deep s*** actually. How about trading some of these depth guys 2 for 1 for a mid roster player for a change. Our roster is so interchangable that we can afford to lose any player that starts the season with the team and replace him with an equally BLAH player.
  13. Low payroll means sprinkling in young guys on their first contracts. Signing Happ=cashing him in at the trade deadline for prospects. Sign me up.
  14. ^^^BaHaHA, that is funny
  15. The great Vladdy is better than I ever thought at this age Good - Bichette, Smith Sean Reid Foley, Jansen, Biggio Bad - Alford although i think he plays MLB next season at some point and stays a MLB player Warmoth...Don't see much upside here Pannone...thought he would have been knocking the door down instead of being promoted by default
  16. Massive talent, young, awesome ballplayer. Everyone is in the dark as to what transpirred but if they accepted their suspension at a longer term than Reyes or Chapman the time usually fits the crime
  17. Can anyone tell me anything about Jays prospect Alejandro Kirk? .948 OPS through 29 games with more RBI then games played and more BB than Ks. Never heard of him
  18. A nice thing about baseball is there is a game everyday and each day the score starts 0-0. Always fun to watch live or on TV.
  19. Smoak is avg 1 extra base hit every 11 plate appearances this season. You will grow old waiting for this. Take what they are giving you.
  20. WHat if..... What if Smoak hit 20 bunts a day in BP for practice. Learns how to bunt well. Every time the shift is on he lays down a bunt for a single. His avg goes up, and if teams stop playing the shift on him it is a win as well. WHY the F doesn't Gibby say to Smoak you MUST bunt when the shift is on? I wonder if managers will ever say this. IMO there is no way with the whole side of the diamond open you wouldn't hit over .500 bunting. A game last week had 2 runners on, zero out and Smoak up and of course he struck out. Just spitballing but Iw onder if we will ever see this??
  21. Who do you cut for Jansen? Catcher position is what it is. Russ going nowhere and Luke doing a fine job backing up.
  22. BAHAHAHAHHA That is funny. if any metric has him as a positive baserunner it is broken.
  23. Garza has upside as a low cost signing. Biagini is a good bullpen arm and a bad starting pitcher.
  24. Is it time to end the "Biagini is a starter" crusade? He has gone from a high leverage multi inning RP option to a frustrating SP.
  25. What can anyone tell me about Tim Lopes? Hitting .455 with the Bisons, has a 35 SB season and is still only 23 years old.
