  1. Hernandez is potential. Puig is a guarantee. For sure Jays should sign him. He is strong defensively and would fetch a prospect if we chose to flip him. If we are talking losing Fischer or Alford over this transaction it is a no brainer. This would also allow us to send Tellez to Buffalo were he can sink or swim as a prospect. Teoscar to DH
  2. https://bluejaysnation.com/2019/12/10/blue-jays-signing-of-james-dykstra-and-the-evolution-of-talent-discovery/ YUP...thank you
  3. Who was the pitcher the Jays signed this off season after watching his video he sent to them?
  4. Biggio should be BEGGING for the automated ump. His OBP will go up .050 points
  5. And please tell the book they are really dumb because 6-9 is 4 batters and not 3
  6. Should have kept his catching gear on...young guy. Made a mistake. Will apologize and all will be well.
  7. https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/1940387 Hope the team does as well as their hat rankings...
  8. Very cool looking hat...I like it
  9. Cabrera journey was different. He was corner OF in the minors. Played first 3 seasons in the OF. Then 3B when the Marlins traded Mike Lowell/1B/ then when they acquired Prince back to 3B for a couple more seasons when he was 29 and 30 years old. Then back to 1B/DH/Rocking chair is his best position now.
  10. We traded for Caudill. Gave up Dave Collins and fan fav Alfredo Griffin. Had lost tons off his fastball in year one 1985 with the Jays but was a savy pitcher and produced a sub 3 ERA. He legit looked like he was throwing a changeup every pitch in 1986. He was damaged goods. Where the ball once used to jump out of his hand, he was now just lobbing in meat balls and was soon out of the league.
  11. AA was evolving as a young smart inexperienced GM at the time to where he is today up with the very best GMs in the game. He will resurface with the Jays one day i predict. And great find MikeM with that GM review of the Reyes trade
  12. Shoemaker would have to pitch like he did to start last season before his injury and slot in as a #2...could happen.
  13. Jordy Mercer Jose Iglesias Hechavarría Tim Beckham Addison Russell All decent backup SS options.
  14. Pretty sure Pillar running Guess Jimmy Key pitching Not sure first pic
  15. 4th year for a soon to be 33 year old is the overpay Put your hand up if you think Ryu will be worth $20 million in the 4th year of this deal. I am real happy we have a legit top of the rotation arm. I am really happy a major FA chose us, changes the outlook for the team. In no way do i think this will turn out well in the end. Too injury prone to project this positively. Hope I get proven wrong. It is only money. If this was the best FA they could get welcome to Toronto Mr Ryu.
  16. EE 34 HR in 109 games last season and you can't see him fitting in? I will personally drive Rowdy-Drury-INSERT OTHER CRAPPY BJ NAMES HER to the airport. Add that to a super big fan fav, likable team mate and WELCOME HOME EE
  17. Lets sign EE and make Rowdy redundant. roll me out a lineup of Bo Vladdy Biggio EE Shaw Lourdes Randal Catcher Outfielder TBA And bye-bye Drury, McKinney, back to Buffalo Rowdy
  18. Jays drafted their managers son as a favor, nothing to do with him being hired. In fact I would have not hired Shane just because his dad screwed the team over.
  19. He sure didn't hire a talented GM, I will be glad when the team is done losing mode and Rogers puts a real top staff in place.
  20. Trade Giles and sign Greg Holland to close this year. Once we fall out of the race trade him to a contender.
  21. Under the Shapiro guidance the team has the largest drop in attendance two years ago. And that worked out so well they were again the largest drop in attendance a second year in a row last season. Not easy to do. We have a crappy puppet GM, meh Manager that would be a good bench boss but not as a Manager. So fans are going away faster than in any other city and players do not want to take their money to play here. Crappy on field, crappy off field. Other than that he has bad hair.
  22. Problem being Randal G is signed and locked in and all the mediocrity he brings. Team still loves the upside of Teoscar. Lourdes is a legit left fielder. Now who goes to improve this OF? My fav part of the off season as a Jays fan is the dumpster diving. After all the good FA tell us they don't want to come to Toronto. Now go sign Shaw or Sogard as my infield depth piece. Iglesias or Addison Russell as my Galvis replacement Edwin or Thames to play 1st Someone to play CF Julio Teheran, Bailey, Wood, or Hellickson to munch innings Jimmy Nelson or Taijuan Walker as my reclamation projects And Collin McHugh, Jeremy Jeffries and anyone with a pulse that throws left handed out of the pen...even you Liriano.
  23. SURE, if he would hire a legit GM and Manager I would be onboard. Currently the worst GM/Manager combo in MLB in my opinion.
