  1. I say NO to trading assets for Lindor. I say YES to signing Semein, Didi, Simmons, Iglesias. Even Galvis was great for us. Make due next season, and open the wallet 2021-22 when potentially Lindor, Baez, Seager, Story and Correa all hit the FA market
  2. And I hope he spends the next 2 weeks learning to catch flyballs
  3. What did the series against The Rays teach me? We need a better manager, not a script reader. Ryu was done with the bases loaded. A high leverage arm should have been brought into the game. Jays plan on the order of their RP arms was very flawed. Grishit in no world should be hitting ahead of Teoscar IMO Bichette is OK as a SS, move him to 2nd base and he could win a gold glove. Sign a SS in the off season I don't like Villar...thought I would. Team missed Rowdy's bat Shaw can move along Hoping Romano comes back to be our closer
  4. Can we move Randall Grishit WAY out of the 3 hole take his 2 week hot streak out and he is hitting .175
  5. Villar might better be used as a late inning PR
  6. Good thing we lost to Baltimore yesterday
  7. Tabler looked like a propt up corpse last night. thought I was watching Weekend at Bernies
  8. From Jason Stark. His year end awards. MY NL CY YUK “BALLOT”: 1) Phillies bullpen, 2) Trevor Williams, 3) Stephen Matz, 4) Craig Kimbrel, 5) Madison Bumgarner. SPECIAL BI-LEAGUAL CY YUK ACCLAIM: Robbie Ray, Brandon Workman.
  9. Four-seamers The surprise in the research was that velocity was the second-most important facet of a fastball, second to vertical movement. So this isn’t a list of the hardest-thrown fastballs in the league. Best Four-seamers of the Year. Sorry it didn't copy well. the numbers are # of pitches and the QOS_PLUS Taijuan Walker 315 117 Walker Buehler 282 117 Taylor Widener 222 114 Patrick Sandoval 229 112 Kyle Hendricks 215 112 Minimum 200 thrown t might be weird to see Taijuan Walker at the top of this list, but he gets a lot of movement on the pitch, and he’s got decent velocity, and the results kind of agree — it’s his best pitch relative to other pitches of the class. Yeah, his slider gets a few more whiffs, but it gets below-average whiffs for a slider, and his four-seam gets nearly twice the whiffs of an average four-seamer.
  10. Not gonna lie, Hentgan is my all time fav ex Jay. Bulldog and a brilliant baseball mind. If you ever have a chance to listen to an interview he is awesome and knows tons about the minor league arms in the system. 265 innings of 3.22 era in his 1996 Cy Young year. 20-10 on a 74 win team. Followed that up with 264 IP the following year. Huckaby has this memory he left us all with. https://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/huckaby-had-lasting-impact-on-jays-jeter/
  11. I guess management thought the general public was starting to like them...this should stop that.
  12. Last night was the TOUGHEST lineup in baseball for a LHP to navigate. No exceptions. And Ray was solid.
  13. Awesome, we can lose out and still back in
  14. A piece from The Athletic: Heading into Tuesday’s start, Roark had faced 91 right-handed hitters in 2020. And to that point, they had slashed .381/.429/.525 against him. They’ve crushed 10 home runs off him in the last 19 innings. That amounts to a wOBA of .525.
  15. I don't mind the thought of having Vlad moving to third. Then you can move Grishit down in the order......OH, you meant play 3rd base. Well that might happen never and no, he doesn't look to me like he has lost weight. Maybe you saw him standing beside Kirk??
  16. My biggest beef is Chucks horrible use of the bullpen. You need to do more than work off your pregame chart of who is going to pitch which innings based on availability. Unless you are a top RP you will not have your best stuff every time out. Yet Montoya will pull a RP that clearly has his good stuff just because he wasn't scheduled to go more than an inning. Borucki threw 13 pitches in a clean outing on the weekend. He was super sharp. Pulled him after the inning with disasterous results. And I have to say Borucki is a poster child for the misuse. Limited to a 1 inning guy when he clearly has the stuff to go longer. Really limits his value to the team. I prefer him as a starter but that is another story.
  17. Lou-Gu-Ju should receive a bump from 7th in the order now that he is top 20 in MLB avg don't we think?
  18. MAYBE it is time to move Lou-Gu-Ju and his .308 up a tad bit from 7th in the order Chuck...just saying.
  19. Cant believe they pulled the fat deisel after only 4 innings and 4 HRs. He was just finding his groove. And I agree, Roark should not be used except in mop up. Management has really backed themselves into a corner. Roark, Anderson, Walker all struggling SPs.And nobody else stretched out enough to help.
  20. What are your thoughts? Most valuable player long term between Alford, McKinney, Fisher or none
  21. Why didn't they give Kirk an AB in last nights blowout? Kinda stupid not getting him in there.
  22. Because our manager has everything planned out a week ahead and God forgive that he has to make a change to that...
  23. Word is when Pearson is back it will be out of the pen for the first time in his career. Won't be ble to build up innings in time. Why not use him as an opener and however far he goes god bless him. If he can be built up to 4-5 innings by the playoffs good enough.
  24. Thanks but some names on there that are no longer with the team. Others added to the team in Villar, Stripling, Ray and Walker. Moran, Alford, Bergen, Gaviglio, Drury and Tejada off at quick glance.
