Hi, I am Mike Petriello from MLB Statcast. Today we are going to go behind the numbers in how Spanky reached a Blue Jays message board milestone of 50 Thousand posts. Ok, here we go, let's take a look at the monitor as we will see the break down.
Of the 50 Thousand posts Spanky has acquired during his notorious history:
85% while drinking beer and intoxicated. Wow, this guy sure can multitask!
Let's get behind the numbers even further:
45% of the posts consists of either: Your dumb, or LOL, sometimes Spankster goes to the opposite field and posts a dum dum or dumn.
38% of his posts consisted of a meme with a cat.
5% Faaaaaack! f***! WTF or WOW.
12% Baseball analysis or comment.
Spanky uses the pecking method of typing. In this day and age of Millennials, the pecking style is considered to be used by only those left over Dinosaurs.
Speaking of Dinosaurs, here is Harold Reynolds with a break down of Spanky's delivery:
Ok, I might be called Old school and a Dinosaur, but I tell you it works for me, and you have to go with what makes you comfortable and comes natural. Just clear your head and peck away if you are getting results. Let's go to the tape and take a look.
Spanky is primarily a right one finger pecker. He has used the right single trigger finger for over 65% of his posts.
However, here if we go back to the tape of a post in July, you will see he uses his left index finger to post. I think what was happening here is Spanky was drinking and posting and with the fast moving game, he just could't make the transition to his typical go to right trigger finger. Or maybe he was Spanking and posting, that would explain his screen name and why he went with the left digit.
Left index finger 15%
Right handed two finger peck style 12%
Left ring finger peck style 8%
Well folks there you have it. We went inside the numbers for a poster who is inevitably destined for the posters Hall of Fame. *Barring drinking so much he slips into a coma.
From MLB.coms Statcast, I am Mike Petriello joined by Harold Reynolds. Have a good evening and God Bless America... Oh, and even Canada, even though Canadians don't know anything about baseball... Eh.
