  2. I said that long time ago. This reminds me of Bautista in ST saying be wants $200 million or $150, whatever it was... Now two years removed is he even still in baseball??
  3. I have never agreed with you more. We are now one in the same. Go hang your head in shame or rejoice you have seen the light. Regardless, we are now brothers on BJMB😜
  4. The Texas Rangers have signed slap hitting, lead off man extraordinaire Ben Revere. John Havok just ran the numbers and he now has the Rangers at 95 wins and 5-1 odds to make the World Series!
  5. So who is going to catch this knucklball? I have seen this movie before.. Guy on 3rd base or 2nd with 1 out and the pitch bounces and gets past the catcher and run scores or moves to sac fly position. He is a reliever not a starter correct? Which makes it worse..
  6. I would have been ok if they said that Stroman and Sanchez are guaranteed spots and all others have to earn it.. I am ok with that statement, even though in reality, Sanchez hasn't pitched well for two years... And Stroman had a rough, rough year last year.
  7. The Blue Jays are not saying they have zero rotation spots available. They are saying pitchers who pitched like s*** last year or are coming off injury are guaranteed spots over our best SP of last year. Consistently and over enough games of not just September baseball. That is my issue..
  8. That is such BS. I understand not just handing Borucki the spot. However, he pitched better than every single one of those guys last year. Not for just a month either. No respect..,
  9. Romo signing with the Marlins. Obviously it was money or location over winning... Not that we offered much more of that.. I would have been ok with Romo for our BP and hoping to flip at the deadline...
  10. So the guys they sent is very interesting.. I honestly don't feel that they are going to send a guy to this, with limited slots and what it represents, unless they feel the player has a legitimate shot long term on the ML roster... It appears they hold Espinal, Rowdy, Reese and Davis in higher regard than some of you on this board.. My gut tells me they didn't send Vlad because he is too fat and they didn't want to risk the injury.. Surprised Biggio wasn't there.. https://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/75th-ranger-regiment-taught-blue-jays-trust/
  11. I sooooo hope you are correct... Though I doubt we are that lucky..
  12. Who do you think gets bumped off 4O man if he signs.. I know many will say Pompeo, but he has shown the ability to not get kicked off the island time and time again..
  13. No, it is a generality, not a specific ailment. Stroman is one of only a handful of MLB pitchers under 5'10. (not comparing this part to 6' RR). Pedro Martinez is really the only shorty I can recall having a long and successful career as a MLBSP. Stroman had shoulder fatigue and various ailments last year. Then he had the whole ACL thing.. Stroman's career track was somewhat similar as to Ricky Roe Roe first few years and then slowly regressing prior to a complete melt down (Stroman has not had that yet, but he appears to be regressing). Stroman had a bad year last year in totality. His D didn't help, on many occasions, but it was regression. We all found out about Rickey's knees after the fact and after we kept on throwing him out there. HDMH is great, but the body (small frame) can only stand up to so much without drugs.. Which Stroman was already busted for once. I hope he does great for more than a month or two. Does his performance last year give me hope he can put in a WHOLE good season.. No..
  14. Too many things about Stroman make me think Ricky Romero. I would not extend. I would trade if he ups his value in 2019.
  15. Exactly. It got to the point where smart basketball fans said, ok great regular season, but show us you are not same old same old in the playoffs. They showed same old same old, and it wasn't just because LBJ. I am glad JV and DMR are gone, would have not shed a tear if they traded KL also. I think they should move KL after the season regardless of what happens. Hopefully he does well in the playoffs, is not injured and his stock rises.
  16. Travis’s D is bad. Range, turning double plays, throw, coming in on balls, footwork. He will cost our pitchers runs. His bat needs to be first and second year good to slot him in the lineup, especially playing a middle IF position. If he went to OF, I think the turf would kill his body and I think he is too short and slow. Basically, he has the potential of one thing contributung to the team, and like five negatives.. The Risk vs Reward calculation in my GM mind says plan without him in the mix or starting lineup/be ready to cut bait, or if he gets off to a hot start, trade him or package him. Of course, maybe this is why I am not a GM. However, I did stay at a Holiday Inn.
  17. Good, he should be on the 60 day IL in no time running around on the turf and we can open up another roster spot.
  18. JV was a choker in the playoffs and a big part of our playoff issues. I wanted him DR, KL gone after last year. So far 2-3;) Even if we get the same production (Gasol is a better two way player), it is a good deal for the team and chemistry.
  19. Yes, that is what I meant by Devil eyes.. He looked like some possessed demon or something. Thanks
  20. Was it Sergio Romo who was Devil eyes in the Canada vs. Mexico fight?
  21. I can't agree with that since although our farm system looks good, we have not won s*** yet. At the end of the day, the GM job's is to win a WS. Gillick did that and had highly competitive teams. AA built two playoff teams The others, nada.
  22. And that is not John Axford..
  23. MLB TV - On my regular cable/satelite packet in the US and much better. Haven't watched ESPN for anything else other then NCAA football and Basketball for years. They also decided to get all political, so f*** em.
  24. They melt under the spotlight. I doubt they would get past the Pacers if they make it in.. They need cut bait with a bunch of them and get another stud.
