Also, he is a college junior, I guess he could go back for his senior year, but not like a High School kid just deciding to go to college..

As I mentioned in the Draft day thread, I really think it took them off guard... He was at that point the obvious choice, but they probably had to just get new official confirmation from GM, change up their communication they had ready etc..

That is sooo true... I was just thinking the same thing... I am surprised San Diego didn't pick him. He is a beach type guy, would fit in well to SOCAL and I thought he is in the mold of the player SD likes... But their loss..
