  1. How did he have launch angle all through the minors? Is he over compensating, the way they are pitching him, weight gain/body shape = mechanics difference?
  2. The Benatendi hit was a Fenway special and the JD HR was a good pitch taken out by one of the best hitters in baseball. Still ST, I have faith in my boy!!
  3. Rowdy had pretty good success against Lefties and hit some clutch HRs off lefties.. I think this whole platoon thing is a misconception with him.
  4. Think of a weeble wobble, when one side (the big belly) is heavier then the other, the weeble leans towards the ground...
  5. ST, still has a ways to go to catch Nate...
  6. I am watching on MLB TV.. All kinds of technical issues.. This sucks. It says weather delay, then this game will start soon, screen is flashing like an intermittent signal. I hope they get their s*** together before the regular season.
  7. Anyone else's signal flashing/screen flashing on the broadcast, or just me?
  8. You are sounding kinda old school Blue Rocky... That is frowned upon on this board. Statistics indicate that the 8th hitter will get X / Pie x 3.14/9 innings squared more bats per season. You want to have your better hitters get more ABs!!!
  9. So my take, as this seems to be close to what a MLB line-up could look like. 1.) I think they need to have Biggio batting lead off! OBP and speed, and Bichette is a better contact bat to have in the 2 hole and drive in RBIs. Teo should be ahead of Grichuk in the line up, I think he is a better batter. I also think Jansen should be hitting ahead of Fisher.. I also think he is a better hitter.. That is all.
  10. So the milk carton works for missing persons in the U.S. However, with bagged milk in Canada, how do you publicize a missing person? Do you guys put pictures of missing persons on Maple Syrup bottles and Tim Horton Coffee cups?
  11. Regardless of COVID, or nothing to do with it at all. Nashville and the greater Nashville, area is one of the fastest growing areas in the US. I have spent some time there the past few years including as recently as the end of December. It will be an excellent place for a baseball team. Montreal on the other hand, had one of the lowest growth rates of major metro cities in NA a number of years ago. The demo in Montreal is not what is was from 68 to early 90s with the Expos. Looking at it from a business stand point, a place players would want to play and live, fan base potential, I would say Nashville hands down!!
  12. Yup, what he said. By the way- I partied with Rios a few times back in the day. The problem was, he was going out late before day games and s***. Guys like Glaus were going to bed early since it was an afternoon start and Rios is asking me which clubs to go to at 11 pm at night... Might have had something do with his on field performance towards the end there.. I don't know...
  13. And again, I could give a f***...
  14. Jesus Christ, I know the correct grammatical usage if I was writing a sentence in college. However, it is common slang to use “could” and when I am using slang and cursing I could give a f*** about proper grammar. Only fnnn Poindexters are going to shout at someone, I couldn't give a f***..
  15. The expression is I could give a f***, two shits etc. Why is Aceucki bad as a pitcher??? Where is this suck you are talking about? Did I miss some years of his starts when he was not injured? I already addressed the "nick name". I am surprised you are not higher on him to be honest. Generally it appears we have the same taste in players... For what it's worth, I saw him pitch in person when I was visiting TO. The dude is a ball player, as mentioned he has that winner attitude and at the end of the day was getting results when not injured... I predict he will pitch better then Tanner, the ball is caught by a fanner in the 500 section, if given a spot and healthy... Probably will out pitch Kay also..
  16. Never was trying to be witty, or gave a second of thought to a "cool" nickname. I will leave that stuff to Sports center. The name started in 2018 when no one on this board was giving our best SP any respect. He was our #1 pitcher in 2018 and a bunch of guys on here says he sucks when he has done nothing but perform at the ML level when not injured. Therefore, I started using a Hyperbole name to make a point and show my support and love, which I will continue using, until or IF he Ryan proves me wrong. Same crowd who was so wrong on Biggio, SRF and a bunch of other ones. Will be wrong again.... Lastly, I could give a f*** what you think about what I write on this board. So, there is that too.....
  17. Blasphemous talk about Aceucki. You will be wrong again! I do agree McGuire and Hatch are the real deal. Nothing has changed with Grichuk IMO. Streaky hitter who Ks too much for me and isn't even plus D. I want an upgrade.
  18. I feel better, I just had to get it off my chest.. It has been festering like a daemon inside me... I also wanted to give some credit to baubau for manning up Thanks for asking
  19. I would like to give you credit for admitting this and being a man about it. It is amazing the amount of visceral thrown my way from a bunch of know it alls on this board a few years ago when I was pimping Biggio. There was one thread when people were literally calling me a "f***ing idiot" for thinking he would be anywhere close to a Ben Zobrist comp. Too slow, defense sucks, has't hit well enough, blah, blah blah... I even got s*** when I traded for Biggio in Fantasy... Now I would not even give someone the time of day if they asked me for those same players back for Biggio. I also recall while we are on the subject... One of those Stud or Busts threads... Funny thing is I said I think SRF will be a bust, I was also called all kinds of names about that... Good thing I have a thick skin and would never use the report button. Same thread I said I think Romano will have a better career then SRF... Admittedly, I thought it would be SP vs SP... However, at this point, I think Romano has more value than SRF... Still early for all, so we shall see...
  20. Blackouts are traditionally for two reasons. 1) To put fans in the stands until full then lift blackout, a la NFL. 2) To protect local or Regional broadcasters from competition from a national network broadcasting the game and no one watching (loss of add revenue etc). Please educate me how the monopoly national broadcasting network with no local competition (that I am aware of), would feel the need to do that? I am assuming if a game is broadcast on/via MLB TV, Rogers receives royalties. If someone has NESN or YES, on a Rogers package, Rogers is receiving money from that. Where is the threat/competition for Rogers? Seriously asking and not being sarcastic. I am not familiar enough obviously with the situation in Canadian broadcasting??
  21. No Blue Jays game on MLB TV tonight either!! I want a pro-ration for lack of ST games! I live in the US also...So Rogers BS should not affect me.. Also, why the hell is anyone enforcing a black out when no fans in the stands...??
  22. 7 pages in this thread, Reese hits a HR and no one said it looks like he has been working on his stroke during ST .... You guys disappoint me...
  23. I would be happy if both Grichuck and Stroman were not on the team. I am 50% to my goal. Then it would just be ex- Blue Jays drama mixed in with an ex Oriole among other teams..
  24. This is BS. I purchased the $59 USD MLB all game package yesterday so I could watch the inter-squad games since it is on SN... However nothing showing on MLB TV for tonight or tomorrow...
