Lol, I guess they are high on Zeuch.. Point being from Ray’s point of view, if selling pitching need to receive pitching.

My point was in reference to FAs... I then said I think we need to go the trade route. We came into the off season talking about the legit possibility of two of the big FAs, like a Bauer and Springer, or a Bauer and Brantley, or JT ect, etc.. In the context of what was being put put by the Jays FO and some in the media, IMO the Asian guys would be a huge disappointment. I think we will need to go trade route which could still lead to an exiting off season. Of course nothing has happened yet, so maybe I will be pleasantly surprised and wrong.

If that is all we got with all the off season build up, I think a big disappointment. Those guys are not moving the needle with fan excitement/ticket sales if a normal season or elevating significantly our chances for the playoffs.

So they are talking about a possible Blake Snell trade on MLB radio with a couple former GMs and baseball insiders. A few quick bullet points. Adel from the Angels, doesn’t do it. Rays would want young pitching coming back in any deal, OFs are a dime a dozen. Blue Jays package/trade concept: Would be something like: Groshans, Danny Jansen and Manoha for Snell and Margot to play CF. Or substitute Zeuch for one of the position players..

The more information that comes out, I truly feel the Jays will be sorely disappointed in FA this year. Maybe the Jays can win out with on the Koreans or Japanese, which to me will be big disappointment. However, I really don't see any of the top tier going to the Jays. I think our route is trade, and we should set our mindset accordingly.

Why this year only? He won't be able to return... $14 million bonus spend this year and fwd.. The talk is he is done from baseball now..

I am having a hard time valuing Oneil Cruz for Dynasty. Is he a significant part of a trade, an elite prospect from a Fantasy perspective or a add on to a deal. Is he going to be up early 2021? Does he stick at SS in the Pirates system with all their other SS’s? I know his rankings, but the analysis is al over the place on him. Thanks in advance

LeMahieu is not coming to Toronto/ Buffalo. The only thing is he has to do with us is IF he does’t go back to the Yankees. The Yankees will go after Lindor and move Gleyber to 2b.

We need to see what else the White Sox do so we have the context of the Lynn trade. They are a pretty scary good team on the field and very close, with just some starters and bullpen help needed... Lynn is a good start...

I don't think in this market, Semien gets more than 4 years max, or you can front load or something shorter with higher AV. My point is too we really have no good idea IMO how Kim would translate to MLB. Whereas, Semien has MLB metrics and would be a good veteran presence in the IF to bridge the gap. In other words, you are paying 4 years max for something you know vs something that is IMO an unknown and you will be stuck with if it fails.

Is Kim a vast improvement on Semien who we could probably sign to a shorter deal until our studs arrive? Semien is 1 year removed from 3rd in MVP voting and had like a 1200 OPS down the stretch and in the playoffs..

I would have picked Zac Veen for them for the cost of a bucket of beer and twenty wings in the hospitality sweet at Coors.

I don't consider the Pirates losers anymore with new FO. I actually watch what they have been doing now with a lot of positive interest and optimism. -
Went to sleep at 2 am and started up again at 8 am after I took my kid to school. Early bird gets the worm I think the deal IMO will hinge on how Whit jr and Patino do..to equalize my loss of Gallen and Tucker.. I think Soto and Franco will even out...

Just executed the trade. Thanks for all those who helped! CD is now the proud owner of: Juan Soto, Bobby Whit Jr, Luis Patino and Kris Bubic I am now without: Wander Franco, Kyle Tucker, Zac Gallen and DL Hall.

Good point. So, I ended up keeping my #2 pick in the disbursement draft and took Corey Seager. I still have him I traded Garret Cole for the #9 pick in the disbursement draft and also in return received: Trent Grisham, Tyler Mahle, Adrian Morjen, Nolan Jones, Joey Wentz and with the pick I took Kenta Meada. I also received something called a resign for a contract league which is extremely valuable. I ended up trading Garrett Mitchell and Max Meyer for Trevor Larnach and Riley Greene I have not done a Solak / Antone , Dalbec /France trade yet. Still thinking about that one. Though I have this guy after me for Antone like white on rice. I just sent an offer for Soto.. So I will let you know what happens... Thanks!
