    I am supporting the information I am sharing with some examples and rational per the authors. All I have heard from the opposite side of the coin is. That sucks, WTF, Widly stupid, How the f*** is Kirk ranked so low... Not one iota of support for your assertions.. I use Fangraphs all the time also in trades - https://fantasy.fangraphs.com/justin-masons-top-50-catchers-2-2-2021/ That Cross list is just a guide and one of many tools.

Current one has Kelenic which is a change from their previous one.     If you read the prefaces he explains exactly how lists get updated in the off-season or COVID eliminated games. I have no dog in the fight with the dude and not trying to justify anything he does. However, he does take the time to lay out "his" rational behind everything if you read his rankings...So it is not like he is throwing darts at a board. Also, they usually open up the comments eventually and guys ask the exact same questions about so and so and he general replies and explains the thought process behind it...

    Obviously they were really in on Gonzalez and as soon as he signs with Boston, we do this as a hedge.. I was very disappointed about Gonzalez, I thought perfect fit for the team, and makeup. Might have to reach out to Boston at the deadline depending what we have going on...

    1. I have no idea what the rational is/was. However, it should be noted that this is the third list I think since Sept/Oct 2020 for 2021 Dynasty Prospects. Wander was # 1 in all the previous lists... So, "something" must have made him change the ranking.. 2. You own Kelenic don't you? Tell Jim you will trade him Kelenic for Franco and a 2nd rnd pick -

    As to McKenzie they are major concerns about him maintaining velocity.. But the rational for the rankings is clearly laid out at the start of the list. Hit tools, systems, proximity etc.. In the majority of the 6 leagues I am in, people outside of this board are using Fantrax and Fangraphs for trade value assessment.. Saying this list sucks doesn't cut it normally in negotiations unless I can show it is an outlier... But show me a list where Kirk is ranked so high..?

    He is a FV50 which is the same as they have Thomas.. But Kirk is ranked 19 for just catchers by Mason, one ahead of Jansen.... If one is trying to identify an undervalued asset and obtain him, then great. My point is Fantasy value I think Thomas should get him more.. Happy Birthday!!

    If he wants him, he wants him, but I think there is a lot of homerism going on with Kirk. If you own a $5,000.000 house and the kids move out and you want to get a nice little place for retirement that you REALLLY love and is only $1,000,000, it doesn't mean you sell your house valued at $5 million for just enough to cover the new $1 million dollar home. You sell your $5 million dollar home for $5 mil buy the $1 mil home and pocket the $4 million. IMO he should at least get a draft pick back to equal out the Fantasy value. I just traded for Kirk in one of my non Blue Jays leagues and didn't pay near as much as Thomas. As a matter of fact I traded Thomas in another league in part of a deal for Dylan Carlson... So I am just saying get equal value vs a player you just really like..

    Nooo amigo IMO Thomas is a top 30 Fantasy prospect... Kirk is a catcher and ranked like 180s... Just not equitable fantasy value being exchanged. IMO.. If you have Thomas get more...

    IMO Story The four offer guys all took a hits in fantasy value in the leagues I am in and the last 3 especially.. So Story for Meadows and depreciating assets IMO... Hard No!

    So this was a great Podcast. I was not aware of it previously. One take away I think is important is that Borucki stated that the whole pen was gassed and at the end were just limping to the finish line. He said this in the context of things like the the Universal DH, expanded playoffs, if he were the Union rep, he would want/ask for, would be to have expanded roster to 27, 28 or 29 players all the time. Starters are not going long enough and it is taxing pens. Last season was only 60 games and they had a a bunch of off days for COVID and SJW issues etc. I think it was obvious the pen was looking spent toward the end between injuries and workload. Only 60 games!! Just circles us back to our obvious need. SPs who can give us 6 good innings!!

    So once you reach 10 yrs a fixed amount. No difference in the amount if you have 15 yrs vs 10 or 12 vs 10 ect? Thanks

    How does the MLB pension work? I heard it is quite lucrative. In other words, if you had a $125 million dollar contract for 3 yrs vs 5 would you be eligible for a higher rate of or more pension assuming you play in MLB for 2 or 3 additional years? Is that a substantial number or not enough to even consider...?

    That is basically exactly what I said.. His peers set a bar and everyone thought he would reach that bar or surpass. He is progressing as a normal kid his age/ages.. but if you compare to Acuna, Soto, Tatis etc, no...

    I am probably one of the only ones here in your camp. I think the issue was is his peers.. Acuna, Soto, Tatis were in the same boat and they didn't really skip a beat.. Then there is the weight thing.. and those guys being plus D or solid D at their positions... I thought Vlad's path would be like Miguel Caberra... But Miggy stayed at 3b longer and started out in fire and continued... I think Vlad will come around, but just seems to be at a more normal rate for guys his age vs some others with same hype... I am also not going to lie and say the weight issue at such a young age doesn't concern me, because yea, you can Crossfitt the s*** out of it at 19,20, 21, but as you get older it ain't going to be any easier for him..

    I agree with this... If Espino was closer I would prefer him... Both was not really on the table for the guy I traded. I think Marquez has more Fantasy value /currency as an asset at this point also. Thanks

    Shutting down another year of baseball for a labor dispute would be league suicide especially coming off a 60 game season. It would be the 94 season X 50 as far as negative fan blowback.... Not only no, but HELL NO!

    Which combo do you think offers more value. Dynasty H2H.
