    Time to move on. Tulo had little chance of playing. Jays may save a few mil if someone picks him up over 2 years. Maybe if he has a good year, 2020 he can make more and the Jays pay less. Not sure what happens with the option year. Perhaps someone can fill me in. Martin should have been gone long ago. They may have to eat 18m or so, but then he is gone Morales, they still need a DH. He is grossly overpaid but has some value - maybe at the deadline. I think 2020 and 2021 will be very exciting (maybe not good, but exciting).

    Oh I see. You are offended that I said no translator needed. I happen to be an employer. I would never hire an employee that could not speak to my clients. This idea of having players that can't speak English is very stupid from a marketing point of view. In an entertainment industry, it is all about marketing.

    I happen to like Pillar. He is fun to watch, good player, good salary, no translator needed and he plays hard all the time. IMHO, the Jays are now getting faster, ship off Stro to NYM or where ever and fill the pipeline.

    Gotta keep in mind that they have Tulo as wasted money. Hopefully he will quit and go home but I doubt it. Keeping Bautista was easier because its RF. I think JD will be a DH if he stays with Toronto. It may be especially true if Morales gets traded.

    I think he will be able to pitch, just might not be able to pitch in Canada.

    Why does everyone want to dump Giles? Most pro athletes are head cases. Kinda part of the game.

    Absolutely not. Saying in jest that a fan favorite that speaks English is a good thing. I and others hate listening to interviews via a translator.

    I see your point, however it may be better to know what you have versus what you could get. All Blue Jays would be better "if" there were a few guys that needed to be pitched around. Pitchers must love facing the Jays these days.

    I don't understand it. He does not suck (he may blow, but who really knows). He has the top WAR on the team, makes $3.25m and is still under control. Who in the system can replace him? No one.

    We keep thinking that JD is still an MVP and All Star. He is no longer. I think a QO of whatever (I guess around $18m) is pretty good coin for him. I think pay cuts for many could be in order. Too many guys injured or turn to crap with long term deals.
