    Sorry, I have to disagree. He is a farce and has only this season to go. Try out the younger players. Cannot hurt plus use the money elsewhere.

    I do realize that and I said he has skills. So, at what point does BA actually count. Would you be satisfied at 200, 150? Maile hasn't hit yet and is not bad defensively but he lost his spot because he can't hit. Just not sure where the line is.

    I agree Happ could go and get a healthy return. Now is a good time for that. I understand that Martin has skills. He also has to hit 250 in my opinion for him to be worthwhile. If Smoak continues for the rest of the season, his value would go way up over the winter. I would hold off here and see. Agree with trading Estrada and Liriano. I agree Morales and Tulo would be hard to get rid of. JD has some value and I don't think Rogers will give him a $30m x 5 years. I too would like to see Alford, Pompey and DS jr. Would be nice to see some speed for a change.

    Only the first para was from Scott Mitchell. I will take the heat for the rest. It is IMHO and I think I am allowed to say that. Gotta count on the farm system. Players come up all the time. Everyone wants proven players but that is not what the top teams do (except the Dodgers). You can almost count on at least 1 player each year coming from the system. I also think that Joey was the worst signing (after Romero) that I have seen in years. Glad it is just 1 season. For someone to say Martin is worth his money is almost full retard mode. Never go full retard!

    From Scott Mitchell - TSN. The Jays have a core of 3 good starters under contract. The issue remains to be the corner out fielders. I think Pompey and DS Jr (if he learns to catch) could do very well. I have to agree that this team does not need to be blown up. Too bad Travis is injured (all the time it seems). I think Biagini, Barnes, Teppera and Osuna are quite good. While we all like JD, time is ticking. I don't think it is possible for him to live up to his MVP year which is what we want. Should be able to get something decent. Pearce could also fetch something. Money should be available as well. DFA that farce in RF, good bye to Liriano and Estrada and there will be plenty of money. Oh ya, get rid of Tulo, Martin and Morales. These guys are dead money. So, Jays need Maile to step up, a SP that burns innings and another starter. Outfield corners are in the system.

    Don't know why he was left in so long. He was throwing, not pitching and it showed. Probably for 3 batters.

    This sets up well to trade Donaldson. Martin will play more 3b. The Jays have been hitting poorly since the end of last August. Brook has to go as well.
