    The team received the same type of derision from American sports media back when they were winning world series titles as well so it's nothing new. It just went into hibernation for several decades.

    Not when one of them still has MVP upside and the other one was a top of the rotation pitcher a year ago.

    It seems that he was innocent of the initial incident that got him into trouble but apparently MLB had several other potential victims that came forward with similar claims. The arbitrator that heard the case didn't completely eliminate the suspension/exonerate Bauer and just reduced the length of it so it stands to reason that Bauer made have performed other misdeeds sufficient to warrant a still really lengthy suspension even after the reduction is factored in. I suspect we will never know the full story here given the secrecy that has surrounded the process.

    It feels so incredibly close but I'm waiting for more acknowledged baseball insiders to officially announce this before I go full on party like it's 1999 mode.

    I'd be totally down with a Bauer signing but I have a really hard time seeing Rogers being on board with signing such a polarizing/controversial figure.

    Would this be something that's expected to scale in effectiveness on a directly proportional relationship with time spent in a cold environment? Or would there be a sliding scale of returns that would eventually diminish over time?

    Absolutely. This could be a really powerful strategy if one were to incorporate appropriate supplements to convert white fat to brown fat along with a reasonable fat loss diet.

    Pun obviously intended. This line is one you should incorporate into your signature.

    I think it's likely some of both. The body burns a ton of extra calories in thermogenesis when trying to warm up in cold environments as brown fat is activated in this process. A cold swimming pool/lake would have virtually limitless amounts of available heat transfer compared to something like a bath tub which would eventually warm up.

    Holy s*** you sound like you could have taken up a career as a pro wrestler or something. Congrats on the weight loss so far. I was never super heavy but still managed to drop about 50 pounds of fat back when I was in my 20's which made a dramatic difference to my smaller frame. I've never really managed to add as much muscle as I was hoping for but felt so much better about myself at the lower weight.

    At this point railing a bunch of cocaine would likely be better for my heart compared to the stress of waiting on an Ohtani decision.

    LOL it's not like extra fat stops your body from feeling pain in your joints.

    Yeah it's crazy how frugal the guy was. And on top of that he lived in the team dorms as he was strictly eat sleep baseball. The guy will likely be a billionaire by the time he retires so hopefully he has since allowed himself to actually spend some of his money.

    Brett Gardner probably would have looked pretty badass with a full on viking beard and would have fit in perfectly on a Vikings tv set.
