  1. They could rotate those three in the LF/RF and DH spots and put a speedy plus defender in CF, it's a scary thought.
  2. The Nats are putting together a pretty solid and very cost effective bench, especially if Adams can repeat last year's numbers.
  3. And if they don't have a brain, they have no reason to worry about flying baseballs. It all checks out
  4. What does the first B stand for?
  5. I can't imagine landing Yelich without at least giving up Bo. There are too many prospects out there who would make for a better centerpiece than Alford, and many teams will highly covet Yelich. Someone will offer a top 25 prospect and more, I think we'd have to fork over Bo with a couple other interesting pieces to be in the running.

Ottawa needed that win pretty bad. Some bad defense late in the game by the Leafs again, Rielly is damn good, just needs to know better there.
  7. Guessing it will be Tucker as the center piece. Astros did well if they can get away without moving him or Whitley
  8. Could have someone like Tepera piggyback in that scenario and wind up with a solid start on aggregate.
  9. ^ Likely wasn't the best source then
  10. Yeah same, but IRL it's a bad idea for Boston. Selling low on JBJ to buy high on Puig, giving up control and CF defense.
  11. I don't mind that idea. Lackey pitched well in the second half. Even if he can give us a handful of quality starts to begin the year, that may be enough before a younger arm (hopefully) pushes their way through.
  12. I recently read some sort of report that predicted Zeuch would be a big league starter by season's end, but can't remember the source. I saw the merit in giving Biagini a chance to start last year, but I don't think anything was gained from it. We have other options for the rotation and money left to perhaps add another. I like Biagini better in the pen and we have a lot of question marks out there without him.
  13. I think Pirela is pencilled in as their LF
  14. Good fit if the price is reasonable. He's a utility type
  15. Or in this case, the s*** always floats to the surface.

Damn good game. I liked this version of Team Canada, no waiting around wondering if any particular guy was going to get it done. Just a solid, competitive team top to bottom - even got the goaltending this year.
  17. Nope, it's Pendleton as in someone here referred to Cliff Pennington as Pendleton and I have a weird sense of humor.
  18. I'm sure they'd want an elite reliever with at least equal years of control if they're moving Salazar, probably only Osuna would cut it from our end.
  19. Chacin was so beautiful that the world demanded his scent be sold in bottles.
  20. ^ I am from Canada but welcome to BJMB!
  21. Seems like that would be more simple. Maybe they think a team would value Salazar (the SP) enough to offer a reliever who is better than what they'd project from Salazar as a RP, but I agree it's a weird idea.
