Gibson, Rakell, Manson, Kase, Steel, Comtois were all taken with picks traded to Anaheim by Toronto. The best was the Leafs trading the two picks that ended up being Rakell and Gibson in order to move up a few slots to get Tyler Biggs.

I'm assuming you're bitter they keep turning Leafs drafts picks into star players?
  3. Quote one post where anyone was sure Merryweather would be anything. There's a difference between believing something is possible and thinking that it's likely.

  5. Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Jon Gray said he simply wasn't healthy in 2018. "I wasnt really healthy," Gray told the Denver Post, "My (velocity) was down this year. I was down about 20 pounds this year. I need to get back to 230-235." In an effort to bounce back after posting a disappointing 5.12 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 9.6 K/9 over 31 starts, Gray plans to hit the gym hard in the offseason and pack on some muscle. The right-hander had bad luck on his side all year and was hurt often by the long ball, allowing a career-high 1.4 homers per nine innings.
  6. He walked off the field without assistance, so in the least it would seem he may have avoided a major concussion. https://twitter.com/PastyA_/status/1050216908581031937?s=19
  7. Wow, that ball still had quite a bit of velocity on it when it ricocheted towards foul ground, that's some scary s***.

  12. Sano comments on the incident "Guess what, I have flaws. What are they? Oh, I don't know. I sing in the shower. Sometimes I spend too much time volunteering. Occasionally I'll hit somebody with my car. "
  13. I don't know how much a rookie cop would make down there but I bet the ones who get run over by MLB players make a lot more.

There are stats that track the number of "high danger" chances for and against. Honestly I think shot differential is fine to use. The perfect formula for "who outplayed who" would likely include some combination of shot differential, possession stats and high danger scoring chances. All I know is that the Ducks allowed the 7th most shots and 4th fewest goals last year, because Gibson is the best goalie alive
  15. What a moron, lucky he didn't kill the kid.

Meh, if it's true Nylander is demanding $8M, let him stay home and rot. Hasn't earned it, don't cave to the selfishness.

He's been elite for 2+ years now Edit - Currently has the highest career SV% of any goalie of all time (among goalies with 100+ career games)

The two points aside, Max Lajoie looks like a nice find for the Sens. Mobile, poised...could become a steadying presence when he gains some more experience.
  22. Are you looking on the 2018 league page still?
  23. Yep, I'm not exactly stuffed with big league talent so that should work out nicely.
