  1. Best case he’s back in July. What a s***** season.
  2. Nooooooooooo! f*** baseball.
  3. Kole Calhoun isn’t far behind, but he was finally taken out of the lineup by the Angels (and is now on the 10 day dl). Chris Davis isn’t going anywhere because of his contract - he’s still owed $68m after this season!
  4. He really did, haha:
  5. He was also bad last year and is now 30. Calhoun would be a poor acquisition when the outfield is the one position we already have numerous prospects who need playing time.
  6. Rougned Odor may now be a terrible baseball player, but he's still a dick:
  7. Kole Calhoun has been the worst hitter in baseball this year. He has a +wRC of 3. The last thing we need is another outfielder who can't hit. The only reason he's still playing every day is his defense, but the Angels will be looking to upgrade him at the deadline.
  8. Haha, nice reference.
  9. I hope this is just speculation:
  10. If the $500 can't be used for direct upgrades, maybe we could use it as prize funds for a few competitions to drum up interest in the forum. Yesterday's GDT had only 3 pages and a lot of the comments were about this bet. We could pick a player each month for the rest of the season, and give $100 to the poster who gets closest with a OPS prediction at the end of the month. Any of Travis / Donaldson / Martin / Pillar / Tulo (if he comes back) / the September call ups could be used. It could make the season a bit more interesting for those that have stopped paying attention after a bad month for the Jays. It also gives tercet a chance to win at least some of his money back!
  11. He'll hopefully be in the rotation next year, it's looking very thin with Biagini's failure as a starter and Happ & Estrada's deals both expiring. We might be forced to pick up Garcia's $10m option just to try to fill out the rotation.
  12. Gurriel should be in the majors. He's a younger version (with a contract until 2024) of the utility role player spot that Urshela and Martin are currently occupying.
  13. Jansen up and Martin to 3B also an option.
  14. I don’t think he’s ever really got over his earlier injury.
  15. Martin's first career start at LF!
  16. Maybe they want to call up Danny Jansen so they’re trying to work out where Martin can play. I never thought that Martin would be the utility guy!
