  1. IMO Shatkins are far too conservative to attempt to spend heavily this offseason on free agents. I believe they will wait until we have a promising team, with at least some players looking like they are going to be significant long term contributors.
  2. If you support a team, you can’t just make yourself stop caring / following them. It’s like a religion and a way of life.
  3. That’s pessimistic IMO - 2 years is a long time. On paper we already have the entire infield sorted for 2021 from prospects who are already here or due to be called up relatively soon, with at least one star level player among them. We’re also going to be getting some interesting returns at the trade deadline. And who’s to say someone in the system like Forest Wall doesn’t turn into an above average player? We also have tonnes of payroll space coming up so there’s no excuse if we are already a .500 team or better in the 2020 offseason and don’t spend on areas of need (e.g. the rotation).
  4. Yeah good to see, it must be Vlad’s turn next!
  5. Yeah I mean if he had the whole offseason to rest (obv he must have trained, but still) and then it reopens after a few games for the 3rd year in a row then that’s game over.
  6. Blister doesn’t really do his finger justice, the original photos show it basically distorts his fingernail. Look how f***ed up it looks after he had part of the fingernail removed. NSFW: http://i.imgur.com/CFsUJem.jpg
  7. He missed his last but one start, it’s never really gone away, just keeps reopening.
  8. Doubt it’s unconnected. The way he grips the ball apparently f***s up his finger so I’m not sure there’s anything he can do. He must be so frustrated not being able to pitch properly without reinjury.
  9. There’s two different things here. 1. Appreciate the owners can’t do anything about the terrible location and spending money on a new stadium seems a waste when fan attendance isn’t going to improve that much. That’s why they should be relocated. I count this flaw as part of the “organisation” I guess you don’t. 2. Because of the much lower income from gate receipts the Rays get a bigger amount of revenue sharing. You’re right it’s not possible to spend on the level of the big markets, but you’re not correct to say they don’t get much income. Imagine what the front office could do with a bigger budget, when they don’t have to let players leave when they start to become expensive. In conclusion, front office = excellent, management = very good, location = terrible, owners = disappointing, overall organisation grade C- must do better.
  10. Amazing that Oliver Drake keeps getting signed, haha.
  11. I take organisation to include everything yes. So stadium, fans and cheap owners.
  12. I mean if they were relocated to a decent stadium and an area with baseball fans then I’d agree with you.
  13. Never pay attention to anything you say - OK got it! /s
  14. If that’s what he turns into he’ll be playing every day for at least the next two seasons.
  15. It pretty much comes down to if Klay and Steph heat up at the same time it’s over. But if one or both don’t, they are just a very good team. But when Durant is there, it means both guards get more chances and space, so even if they aren’t shooting well they have more and better shot opportunities, as well as having a top 3 player on the floor. If Durant is back by say game 3, Warriors in 5 IMO.
