The difference between swing and miss and just soft contact. Anything can happen when the balls hit in play. When you miss the bat nothing bad can happen. I present exhibit A. Blue Jays need more swing and miss.

Why can’t our second basemen catch baseballs at the base.

He always seemed to just keep his job lol. But from the lack of pitching success this organization has had and the fact that non of the pitchers that come up seem to miss bats. Seems to be an organizational issue more than just a Pete Walker issue.

He doesn’t have any command of his slider or much command of anything period. The point is he needs to make teams beat him with the Fastball. If he can’t throw strikes with his Fastball he needs to be sent down to Rochester until he can.
