    I hope that was well before the game. Embarrassing crowd for a First Place team although the AL Central is horrendous.

    Bichette should be hitting 7th. Just swap him and Chapman and it’s fairly ideal.

    Ground balls have a chance to sneak in or through for base hits. Swing and misses do not. Swing and Miss is King.

    Whit Merrifield was basically a cult hero in Kansas City. So much so that the Royals Play By Play man refereed to Bobby Witt Jr. As Junior so they didn't confuse them. When the news broke about the Royals 10 players be unvaccinated. The guy that got interviewed about it was actually Merrifield where to paraphrase basically said the Royals are going nowhere this year so he doesn't see the point. If he were to be traded to a contender he would reconsider his decision. That did not go over well with the fan base or the front office. And the relationship quickly soured from there. Would explain how they sent out without saying much of a word about despite him being there for a long time.

    What strain are you smoking because I need to get in on this level of high. I would be absolutely thrilled if Mitch “f***ing” White could be a decent back end option. He is a swing man ultimately and he will likely be serviceable in both those roles.

    Manoah circumstances were unique because of Covid. But I do like the mentality of not wasting bullets in the minors. Obviously building up innings is just as important as success. But I don’t think guys that are performing exceptionally well should stop moving until they hit a road block. Ricky T will finish this year in Double-A and probably start in Double-A next season. But if he continues to perform he will a rotation option by May or June. I can see him making a couple starts in AAA and then making the jump. Health and success permitting ofcourse.

    I still think it’s crazy none of the guys we traded for are available yet. Especially the ones from Miami. I remember when the Jays traded for David Price. He got on the first flight and showed up to the Stadium that night just to be able to watch the game in the dugout. That’s the kind of big dick energy I want to see. So far we know all these guys have small dicks. Hopefully it trends up from here:

    Tiedemann could probably pitch in the Bullpen right now. He’s going to AA when hes reactivated. They are just monitoring his innings.

    Well said Spanky. There’s also a massive difference between not wanting something and speaking out against it. I don’t want to jump out of an Airplane that doesn’t make me Anti Skydiving lol. Simple minded people like to paint people with the same brush.

    Merrifield ultimately gotta make the decision that’s best for him. I can’t imagine him choosing to lose that money but if he does I have tremendous respect for his principles. This is completely on the Jays not him. They choose to trade for him knowing the circumstances. I think it’s incredibly stupid that they traded for an unvaccinated player. I assumed he got it when the trade was made. If he still isn’t I’m pretty mind blown they pulled the trigger on this especially with Max Castillo able to contribute right now.

    It’s also why you don’t trade Max Castillo. I would feel much more comfortable with our depth if he was still in the picture.

    I don’t know if he can even get on a plane and travel to other cities not vaccinated. I know you can’t here for sure. They recently approved Train travel. But you can’t get on an airplane in Canada unvaccinated.

    He can’t be anti vaxed otherwise he wouldn’t have been able to travel in America as a non citizen.

    I got it at C for many of the reasons listed above. I just don’t see any game changing talent. The Bullpen feels deeper but it doesn’t really feel better. I still don’t think we addressed its biggest weakness that’s what’s tough to accept. Its more of a feeling like Cimber, Phelps, Mayza, and Garcia don’t have to pitch every night. You got a bunch of guys now that are good to pitch the 6th or 7th inning. I guess will see. I was hoping for more impactful roster changing trades.

    #9 hitter hit an absolute piss missile but he got it done. Can never have enough run support for the 9th inning with Romano.
