    That’s a large number considering how many teams don’t have a true closer. The Blue Jays among them. He’s mostly fine but I don’t view him in anyway as shut down reliever. His strikeout numbers have been trending down as well. If you’re not a Closer or Setup guy you’re a middle reliever so no idea why people took offense to that. There are bullpens in this league where Romano would be the 3rd or 4th option. He’s not special. I was actually hoping they would groom him as a multi inning reliever.

    The Jays bullpen is much deeper for sure. But they still lack a true 8th and 9th inning guy. It’s mostly fine… Losing Mayza hurts though. No longer a decent left handed option. I view Romano more as a middle reliever. He just happens to be the one closing right now.

    I would like to think if Ian Happ was actually available he would have been moved and the Jays would have been all over it. Its not like the Cubs had to move him.

    Terrible comparison. But this is what Mitch White is. Hes going to be a serviceable swingman who can give you 4 or 5 innings consistently of 3 runs or less. Guys like this are valuable I don't really like paying a premium for them but it is what it is.

    Getting the sure out to make sure the inning doesn't get out of control. I would not doubt anything Chapman does defensively.

    Looks like Correa might be opting in. Hard to walk away from $35 Million and he isn't exactly having the season he was expecting clearly.

    Making his first start with the Blue Jays tonight. I'll start 4.2 Innings Pitched 6 Hits Allowed 3 Runs Allowed 2 Strikeouts 2 Walks And I will set the over under at 4.5 swings and misses. And I will be taking the under.

    Nah f*** Mitch White. Organizationally we came out with less swing and miss post trade deadline and it’s comical.

    So maybe we just never start Berrios on the road again. It sucks that the first mega deal the franchise has given a pitcher has gone this poorly in Year 1. He looked like almost a slam dunk to be a solid #3 for a majority of that contract. You don’t see the people calling him an Ace last season post much anymore lol.

    Also I just realized Mitch “f***ing” White isn’t even on the MLB Roster. He was optioned and placed on the Taxi Squad lol. f*** I hate that trade.
