  1. You know your a dinosaur when even Sportsnet won’t put you on the air anymore lol.
  2. Finally getting a decent start and the offense outside of Kirk doesn’t have a pulse.
  3. What choice does he really have. Who else is getting him outs on a consistent basis? This entire bullpen is over worked outside of maybe Romano who has at times been overworked as well. As much as Charlie sucks at his job. His hands are kinda tied. Especially when only 2 of the starters reliably go deep into games. And those 2 didn’t recently either.
  4. I didn’t say they need to give up on the season. Just not sell the farm to try to save it.
  5. Rivera is the one guy that can never get fired no matter what lol
  6. This f***ing team dude.
  7. Sure you can. You can opt not to make it worse than it is. Make smart low cost changes now and bigger changes in the off-season with a bigger market.
  8. That’s how you enter 10-15 years of irrelevance if and when it doesn’t work out. Lets say they trade for Frankie Montas and the best reliever on the market. For shits and giggles lets say that’s David Bednar. Do you think those 2 additions knowing how it much it would cost turns this team into a World Series contender?
  9. Probably went a little long with Thornton. That meatball was massacred.
  10. It’s just not a very good team lol.
  11. I respect your optimism I really do. But I truly hope they don’t trade prospect capital to try to go all in with this team. That’s all I’m saying.
  12. Imagine getting thrown out at Second Base with your best hitter at the plate ahead in the count. Just an awful time to run
  13. This team has 2 reliable starters right now and one of them is a question mark (Gausman). The bullpen is a complete dumpster fire from top to bottom. The offense is very hot and cold group collectively. I don’t picture this anything can happen scenario. I see getting butt f***ed by the Yankees if they even get past the wild card cluster f*** that they get created.
  14. If this is a window it looks pretty foggy outside. It would hopefully improve in the off-season with trades and free agent additions. The time you can truly improve or change your team. Very difficult to do it right now.
  15. The point is I don’t think giving up prospects to fix this team is the right play. Sometimes taking a step back is needed before making a proper step forward. Brute forcing it at this point seems not ideal.
  16. I think we’re getting swept by the Yankees either way lol. I just don’t think this team is one or two pieces away. It feels closer to 5 or 6.
  17. Honestly the more this season plays out it looks like fixing both the rotation and bullpen without training major prospect capital seems impossible. They might be better off selling off some assets and retooling for next year. Getting a third wild card spot just isn’t remotely appealing.
  18. I’m pretty sure it’s all guaranteed no option.
  19. You know what he didn’t do though. Give up runs. The bullpen does a lot of that
  20. 10 hits allowed in 8.2 IP. Less than a strikeout per inning. I think will live.
  21. Hopefully being back in Oakland lights a fire under him. He’s been absolutely abysmal at the plate. Probably a better team with Espinal at Third and Biggio at Second. Atleast right now.
  22. Biggio has .385 on base percentage and an OPS just shy of .800. And he hits f***ing 9th. Have the haters firmly shut the f*** up yet?
  23. Biggio haters can suck a magnum dong.
