Bentendo would really compliment this lineup. Little disappointed he’s not an option because of the mandate but respect his personal decision. The important thing is it rules him out for our division rivals as well.

You know Montoyo also wanted Vlad to hit Second but since he was such a bitch and Vlad preferred hitting Third so he just went ahead and did what Vlad wanted.

They are missing 10 of their regular players including arguably their 2 best players. Anything less than a sweep would be an embarrassment.

I wouldn’t be against Kirk hitting Second. But Vladdy in the 2-hole is probably the best option. Bo definitely needed to be moved down.

1 extra base hit in 58-at bats for Moreno. Wasn’t exactly a glowing showcase for the bat. But he does look very athletic and promising behind the plate. I wonder where all the power went he showed in AA.

I think constant yelling players will tune you out. But if you address the legit issues that shouldn’t be an issue. I would imagine the position players at this point have zero confidence in the bullpen. That has to be draining feeling knowing your team has zero ability to hold onto leads. Now the Jays do constantly f*** up chances to add on runs. But the offense is normally good enough to win most nights. Right now if we don’t get a very very good start the chances we win is extremely low.

I can honestly say I have never once listened to a Jeff Blair and Kevin Barker segment in my life. I have seen the odd clip and if those are suppose to be the highlights of their discussions I have concerns.

I have a feeling he doesn’t approach the players directly at all unless he’s taking them out of the game or telling them they are being sent down. Even in the dugout you see John Schneider and Pete Walker having more conversations with the players.

The media is rarely very insightful to begin with. If you want real Baseball discussion you have always had to dive deeper. I couldn’t careless what the people doing the sports highlights care about the team. Tons of content on the internet available from people who actually do their homework. I keep hearing people bring up this team needs more media pressure like it’s actually going to accomplish something. What I would like to see is more Atkins and Shapiro in the spotlight when things are going poorly. I feel they are in the shadows unless something significant happens where they are basically forced to address it. One of them should speak publicly atleast once a week. Charlie Montoyo as basically the figure head and voice of the team is kind of train wreck. He doesn’t command the respect of anybody. And being a nice guy in sports rarely accomplishes anything. This team looks like it could use more of a direct and stern voice. The dancing in the dugout after solo home runs when your team has lost 8 of their last 9 games is so cringy.

This abysmal stretch and getting swept in Seatle has to be the nail in coffin foe somebody. Waiting till the ASB at this point seems pointless. Send the message now. You might not be even over .500 come the break.

Vladdy is both young and has control. Sure prospects could be involved but you would be getting a Major League return.
