  1. A Verlander comp for Pearson isn't very fair to the guy lol. That's a lot of hype and pressure.
  2. Good insight. Shatkins do like to horde as many assets as possible, not that I have any issue with it. Still, it would be nice to see some potential in-house upgrades get a chance for some extended ABs up here.
  3. Yeah, not sure why we're not giving him a shot? I guess it would mean Goins is sent down or is he out of options? Either way, he's earned a look at least. Dwight Smith Jr should be up and playing instead of Carrera to.
  4. Barker: "He's a big country boy with lots of power. A real ball player. " Zaun: "He seems like he has a bit of a chip on his shoulder. He'll be lucky if he even gets to the bigs at 5'11. I would call for a "mistake" at his head to smarten him up."
  5. I wouldn't really say that. A lot of luck impacts baseball in short sample sizes like the playoffs. It's a long, tedious, season leading up to that. Any team can get hot for a 10-15 game stretch in baseball, even against elite teams. In basketball, one elite player playing to his norms can be all it takes.
  6. I would add Jordan Romano and Sean Reid Foley as pitchers. Bradley Jones and Josh Palacios are guys I'd follow as hitters as well.
  7. That 0.44 FIP lol. Dear lord..
  8. Bichette is a cyborg.
  9. Apparently, his approach this season is "sit breaking ball and adjust to FB with < 2 strikes, then shorten up drastically with 2 strikes"
  10. At this point, I can't really argue against the injury prone comments.
  11. Nope. SRF is coming back into his own the past 5 starts and will likely end up with a pretty great season when all is said and done. Jordan Romano has been spectacular and he could end up in AA before the end of the season. Those are two guys worth paying attention to right off the top of my head.
  12. The issue with Grilli, is he's kind of predictable. High 4SM and low and away Slider that's always either a ball or a hanger down the middle.
  13. WTF? Lol you're underrating our farm as much as the SN Comments Section overrates Goins
  14. Foley is quietly coming back around. He's starting to look like he did last season again. Here are his peripherals from his last 5. http://www.fangraphs.com/statsd.aspx?playerid=sa828690&position=P&type=-2&gds=2017-05-10&gde=2017-06-03&season=
  15. He's having his best season, by far, even if it is early lol.
  16. I'd say so. SRF is rounding back into form as well. His last 5 starts or so have been more like what we saw last season. BB rate is minimized, K rate is super high and opposing AVG is low.
  17. This is true. I'd like to see them try him in CF and maybe rotate him into SS once or twice a week. Bo's interview said that they like to cycle him to 2B once or twice a week, so that could be something fun?
  18. Bo and Vlad better be next.
  19. Final line: 6IP, 5H, 0R, 0BB, 8K, 5GO
  20. Foley spinning a gem so far. 5IP, 4H, 0R, 0BB, 8K
