    Did they shut him down? He's only pitched 2 IP in rookie ball, and last pitched in mid July. Hopefully he didn't injure himself.

    I never understood the hate? I understand caution because of the surgery he had, but the guy is huge, generates easy high 90s velocity, has great control, and K'd a ton in school. He was always a top guy for me.

    Maybe? If, and this is a big if, they can convince JD to sign something similar to what Cespedes signed for, they should do it. He could be a great mentor for Vlad and Bo once they come up, and his peripherals suggest he's not declining offensively just yet. K rate is up, but that's more due to the slow start with the helmet guard.

    I think the knock was they believed his hitting projected to take a steep decline very soon. With hindsight, they were very wrong lol. Also, his defensive value alone should have been enough to outweigh any future offensive shortcomings.

    Nate Pearson right behind SRF already, wow. If Pearson goes 4 IP+ next start, like I expect, and has similar results, they should promote him to Lansing. I'm somewhat surprised Alford is above Bo here, but it's arguable. LGJ is a bit too low imo though, and Teoscar too high.

    Wow. That's great news! It would be nice if he could get a Sept call-up to audition for a back-up role in 2018. Martin could help ease him in.

    Holy crap! I didn't even note that, the last time I looked at Bo's fangraphs page. I know it's only a 20 game stretch but he's cut his k-rate down from 17.5% to 9.7% with the jump to, not only, a higher level, but, also, a notoriously pitcher friendly league. If this continues, I don't understand how he could not be Top 10-20 overall, or better, by season's end.
